I have a few questions if anyone can help me with, me my wife and my 4yr old daughter are going on the 7 day land/sea cruise which begins on July 18th. Were doing 3 days in WDW and then off to the Disney Wonder on July 21st. IM a bit confused as to what would be the right dinner attire to the restaurants, were not going to do Palo since my daughter would not be able to go, so that leaves the other's, any of the restaurants require jacket and tie? Or just say a button down shirt and slacks?Ladies I know would be either dresses or pant suits. Also the question keeps coming up about luggage, what happens to our luggage exactly? Do we have to pack two separate bags each, say one for WDW and the other for the Cruise? Im so confused :p Or do all our luggage go directly to the resort and when it is time for the cruise they go to the ship? Did I say that right :D Anyway thanks for reading my post.

I'll try to help -

If you're on the Land / Sea trip, all of your luggage goes with you to the resort. Assuming you also purchased the transfers, your luggage will be picked up at your resort, placed on a DCL bus, driven to the port, and then transported into the ship and then to your cabin door. Luggage is delivered from the hold of the ship and to the door of your cabin until 6pm on embarkation day.

You should plan on keeping medicines, valuables, and other essential items with you as a carryon bag. Many people plan to have a bathing suit in the carryon and to use the ship's pools after lunch on the first afternoon immediately after boarding.

Since you're on the Land / Sea vacation, you won't have to go thru the checkin procedure at the port. Your KTTW card will be used on the ship as well as at the resort.

If you are flying home after the cruise, some airlines now have the ability to check your bags at the cruise terminal after you have cleared customs. It's sort of an extension of the curb side checkin at airports.

The suggested dinner attire for men is 'resort casual', except in Triton's where it is 'jacket recommended'. They don't have formal nights on the 3 and 4 day cruises. They do request that you refrain from shorts and jeans for dinner in the dining rooms.

You won't be asked to leave if you wear a button down shirt and pants either and many others will not be in a jacket and tie.

Personally, I do wear a jacket and tie for dinner at Triton's.

Lunch and breakfast are Ok with shorts or jeans.

hope that helps

Thanks for the advice Al I do appreciate it. So I would only have to have a jacket and tie for Triton's correct? Also thanks for the tip on the luggage, I just want everything to go ok and less headaches...you know :p If there is any other advice you want to throw my way I would greatly appreciate it very much. Thanks again.

Triton's and Palo's are the only restaurant where a jacket is requested for men.

Parrot Cay and Animator's Palate are both 'resort casual' with no jeans or shorts.

The 'jacket requested' will have men wearing a jacket without a tie also.

Other advice - have lots of fun, try to catch as many of the shows as you can, and consider trying some of the foods you wouldn't normally get at home. I'm not all that adventurous in the food category, but I will try appetizers that I would never consider ordering from a restaurant at home. In the worst case, you could ask for another one, but I've never had to do that.
