If I am on the dining plan, I only do CS here because I would rather save the TS credit for a decent meal then put up with most of these places. Seriously, between the choice of using 2 TS credits on something like Narcossees or the California Grill and the Hollywood Brown Derby... give me the first 2 any day of the week.
I have eaten at 50s Prime Time, Mama Melrose's, and Sci Fi. Sci Fi is a TS rest that serves CS food. Mama Melrose's is forgettable pseudo-italian. 50s Prime Time is a unique, fun place but REALLY is affected by your server/cousin. The food is honestly waaaaaaaay too simple for the prices they charge. However, with a good server and location, this place can be a lot of fun.
Having said all that, I will continue to stick to the CS even though it is all completely mediocre. If there were any place where I would be tempted to just go with a Turkey Leg, this would be it (due to the lack of choices). So, IMO, save your TS credit and go to a 2 TS dinner another night.
An option I always liked doing was saving my 2 TS dinner night for the day I visited DAK because you usually leave there earlier than the other parks. That way, you could get over to a resort for dinner at CG, Narcossees, Flying Fish, Artist Point, or maybe even check out the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue.
