We are staying at WDW (27 April to 11 May) and will be visiting Seaworld for the Day. We will not have a car so will catch the bus/cab. Does anyone have any recommendations for dinner? Also anyone know what time the park closes?

thanks

Most of the parks close in that whole area, at around 7. The only real place Sea World has for dinner that is nice is Sharks Underwater grill. Take a Cab.

Lots of places to eat. Besides Sharks, there's Voyagers near the sky tower. It's served cafeteria style where you slide your tray and pick things behind a glass display. The draw here is wood oven pizza and pasta.

Then there's the deli in the back of the park in the hospitality center. This place gets packed for lunch so you might want to go here at 11:30am. You can get two free beer samples here.

And on the other side of the park near Kracken is a rib joint.

I have heard about Dinner with Shamu and womdered if that was worth while?

I felt the show was worthwhile but the food was not fabulous. Like Character Meals at Disney, I go more for the experience than the cuisine!

Sharks Encounter is awesome!

I agree. The food wasn't great at dining with Shamu. That being said...we do it every time we go. We all love it and none of the food at Sea World is GREAT so you might as well. It's not terrible. Just not top notch. The experience is great. You get to see the whales closer for a little extra time.

From what I've heard, the Dine with Shamu thing can be rushed. Once the food is served, the trainer comes out for a few minutes, and then it's over and they tell everyone to leave.

Sharks are good- just get reservations.

Is Sharks Underwater Grill anything like Coral Reef in Epcot? We've been to Coral Reef and I loved the atmosphere. I don't want to waste our time in the park having a long sitdown dinner. Can you go to Sharks after the park closes?

No it closes. Another place if it is a nice day is the Smoke House grill(not too hot and muggy or freezing cold). It is counter service for BBQ chicken, beef, and ribs. There are tables in pavillians, under table umbrellas and under the shade trees. You will notice the wonderful smell while walking through the park near Clyde and Semore stadium)<g> We usually eat lunch there when we go and then have supper at Voyagers with our son( He meets us there after he gets off work in a Disney Park)
Bribery on our part to sdee him and extra money changes hands for him to get by at school<g>

I vote for Sharks Grill. :thumbsup2 We had lunch there and it was fabulous. Make your ressie as soon as you get into the park and request a table next to the tank. Good luck. :wizard:

I want to eat at Shark Grill too, so as soon as the park opens, I should go and make reservations there? We are celebrating my daughter's birthday on that trip, should I mention it too?

Hi the other option is the SW Luau its a pretty good show and the food in my opinion is pretty good

We went there first thing and there was a line to get a ressie. Go asap. Also, it was our sons 6th birthday when we were there and they brought him a shark coozie with ice cream and a candle. They do not sing, that is the policy. We had a table up against the glass and the kids were mesmerized by it. It is a great place with wonderful food.

Sharks grill was awesome, we had an awesome waitress, she let my mom and I buy adult portions of the child menu, so we had a huge serving of the orange chicken with veggies and fries and it only cost 13$ each.

dessert wasnt as good as I thought it would be but it came in the cool shark coozie thing, I was very happy with my shark LOL :) and we got andes mints when she brought the bill.

The tank is cooler than the coral reef, I think so anyhow.

Im not a fan of sea world food, we usually wait till we get back to disney to eat (we go to sea world for half days to use our free passes from DC) Im glad we went to sharks though.
