We are having dinner at Ohana next weekend. What is there policy on kids meals. My daughter (4) is a very picky eater and I find it a big waste of money to buy her a meal (especially at Disney prices). I have heard that if a child eats of an adults plate you do not have to pay for their meal? Any truth to this?

You can not share a meal at any of the all you can eat place such as Ohana's. If she will not eat the food served at 'Ohana's you can order a kids meal from the Kona Cafe.

On the menu there is a note about other meals being available for children. We didn't notice this in December when we were there and DS ended up eating a bowl of steamed rice.....this time he got chicken tenders and really enjoyed the meal...and the coconut races and hula-hooping!

Hi paulsimon, I ate at the 'OHana's last year in August and my little one is a picky eater. They had kids meals available, my little one had the kids chicken fingers and fries. I don't remember what else they had available for the kids and I don't remember what I paid for the kids meal but, it wasn't adult rate. The waiter also said to me, that almost all WDW restaurants offer meals for the kids.

Hope this helps....enjoy the 'Ohana.

PS
If you like Pina coladas, try one at the 'Ohana, my favorite!

Good luck!

Does anyone know if the kids meal is cooked seperately? Isn't Kona Cafe a seperate kitchen? We have wanted to try OHana's but DD3 has a peanut allergy and I have been worried about all the food being cooked and served together, since they have a peanut sauce. If the kids meal comes from a seperate kitchen then it should be fine. This looks like a fun place and she would not be bothered by eating different food as she knows peanuts make her "itchy". :) Thanks

Disneycrazymom, we are in the same situation. We want to celebrate DS's birthday at Ohana because of the games and all, but he is allergic to peanuts and he wouldnt eat any of that food anyway. Im thinking of calling ahead and requesting a separate kids meal for him and letting them know about the allergy. Im usually not too worried about it, but that peanut sauce(which Im dying to try) is getting me nervous. Im sure if they are aware of any allergy they would be extra careful to avoid cross contamination.
Good luck!

Thanks for the advice.

I arranged this dinner for a group of 16. I get so nervous that if the group doesn't like it it's my fault. From what I can tell it seems like this should be a fun time - especially for the 4 kids (age 3 - 5).

Any other comments about the games, fireworks or food are most definately welcome.

My son had mac and cheese when we ate there 2 weeks ago. I saw kids with chicken nugget buckets as well. My DD who's 5 eats everythings so we just paid the $9.99 for her.
