Hello all,

Has anyone out there got views on the Liberty Tree Tavern from an adults perspective and of course the quality of the food.
Have got ressies for November and hope it will be memorable for the right reasons, oh and yes we dont mind character meals from time to time

We had dinner at LTT while on our hunnymoon last October. The food was good, but not "spectacular". My wife LOVED their Macaroni & Cheese.

BUT, the character interaction can be TERRIFIC! My wife brought 2 individually sandwich-bagged genuine NJ acorns, one each for Chip & Dale. Chip came by first and she gave him his acorn. You could tell that CM had NEVER had anything like that happen before and REALLY made a big deal of it. Chip even gave the sandwich bag to his friend, the Character Handler, and obviously told her (off to the side) what had happened, & even the handler was VERY surprised!

All in all, we'd definitely recommend it for adults... which is a good thing, too, since we've got reservations there in October again :)

Enjoy the Magic!

We ate supper at LTT in Dec 2004 before MVMCP. It was a party of 6 adults from 32-70 yrs old.

We had a blast! The food was fine. Tasted decent, items were served at an appropriate temperature, and service was wonderful. It isn't high cuisine, but we enjoyed "regular food" we had that night. Character interaction is wonderful.

We are all heading back to WDW in November. This was the only place my 73 y/o father wanted to eat at again. :rotfl:

He's pretty picky. So if you like decent food, with a fun/louder atmosphere, you will be fine. I would put in on par with Cracker Barrel's turkey dinner, just to give you some comparison.

The food is fine. It gets a bad rap on these boards - people say "it reminds me of a TV dinner" because they serve Stouffer's mac n cheese, so folks know it was frozen...like they are churning butter while waiting for the yeast to rise over at the Crystal Palace. ;) :) Once in a while I think the meat is a little too dry, but overall I really like it.

The dinner has characters and families with kids that go with that. Sometimes a toddler will cry because they got scared. Sometimes there will be unruly children running, fighting, yelling or lying on the floor. And always - it is loud. That's the nature of character meals. :)

The characters will interact with adults if the adults are into it. But if you say something like, "We're really not into talking with a chipmunk," in a polite-ish way, they move on with a friendly wave.

DH and I love this restaurant. DS6 has been to WDW so he doesn't go crazy over the characters (although we still make him pose for pictures).

The salad (I know, I know) is delicious. I love the dressing. We try and eat here at least once a year.

It's not Narcooses(spelling?), but I'm not a fancy person.

Here's another vote for an adult trip to LTT.

We always go and have a great time. On our last trip, Chip "asked" me where my wedding ring was. When I told him that I was pg and the ring pinched, he stuck his head on my belly. Then he pointed to my DH, "asking" if he was the father. I said yes and Chip gave my DH a high-five and then made devil horns behind DH's ears. \

And Meeko used to steal out basket of rolls. I miss Meeko.

So yes, if you want to have fun with the characters, fun WILL be had.

And the food is good. IMO, it's the best TS meal in MK in terms of cost effectiveness and taste.
