:earsgirl: Hi,

Well, I called and made a PS for 5pm next week! So since the restaurant starts serving dinner at at 5pm, and they close at 2pm from brunch, what time should we be at the restaurant?

Also, anyone who has had dinner there recently - can you give me an idea of the menu items?

Thanks!

I haven't been to Goofy's Kitchen recently but for the times that I have been there, we usually arrive 15 minutes prior to our PS times and never waited much longer to be seated. The wait was ok with us because our kids either got to take pictures with the characters or watch Disney movies/cartoons(of course) in a seperate room off to the side. I haven't seen an actual menu, but Laughing Place has the menu on their site.

On the Friday before Memorial Day, we had a PS for 6:00. My daughter was especially hungry, so we walked in at about 5:15 and there was absolutely no one waiting. They seated us right away. I don't know if this is the norm, though.

We ate dinner at Goofy's Kitchen Tuesday evening. It was GREAT!!!!

We arrived about 5 min before our 5:40 PS and were seated fairly quickly. The characters were wonderful. We saw Chip and Dale, Minnie, a very sweet Mulan, Goofy, Pluto, Pinocchio, Aurora. We were told that they do not know which characters will be there until 5pm when they show up - interesting.

The food was the best we had all week! There was Salmon, Prime Rib, Roast Turkey, make-your-own fish tacos, vegetables, 3 or 4 kinds of pizza - including a neat PB&J pizza, a nice salad bar, several cold salads, breads, Mac and cheese, hot dogs, mickey nuggets, fries. All of it was very good and nicely replenished.

AND THE DESSERTS!!!!! We nearly made ourselves sick!!! HUGE Chocolate chip cookies (smuggled a couple out in my purse), chocolate cake, a cute Goofy cake, green jello, carrot cake, brownies with PB icing, lemon bars, pecan bars, cheese cake, cinnamon roll bread pudding, cobbler, make-your own sundaes with fun sprinkles, etc. I may have even forgotten a few. They were ALL very good.

It is pricey. It was $101 for 2 kids and 2 adults. Our kids are 8 and 10, so they eat enough to make it worth while. Service is great and we enjoyed it much more than any of our other chartacter dining experiences.

Wow, that sounds fantastic! I'm so glad I booked this - when I told my DH (expecting to get a minor lecture on how much it cost), he grinned and hugged me, and said "you know, Goofy is my favorite"! - another reason I love him!

Thanks!
