Dinner at Garden Grove-Walk from Boardwalk???

I bought a $25 gift certificate from restaurant.com before I really did my homework. I knew that I would enjoy dining there, but didn't realize that it would cost me $12 to park just to go to dinner. I booked reservations for a Sunday evening at 5:15 and that is a day off for us. I was thinking that we could go to the Boardwalk and shop and then walk over. Otherwise I had planned on going to Downtown Disney. Is that far from the Swan?

You can definitely walk from the Boardwalk to the Swan. It will take about 5-7 minutes, is my guess. The Boardwalk, Y&B, and Swan/Dolphin are all right next to each other.

Another option might be parking at Fantasia Mini-Golf Course. (????)

Isn't the $12 to park only for valet? I'm fairly sure you can still self park.

Swan and Dolphin have a separate parking fee.

Looking at googlemaps it seems that parking at Fantasia Gardens is a shorter walk than the remote BW parking (where they make people park these days if not a registered BW guest).

There seems to be enough parking. We went there to play miniature golf one evening and it was a 1 hr. wait to get on the course but we still had no problem parking. Would I do it all the time? No. But for one meal at S&D I don't think it would be the worst thing in the world to do.

You could also walk (or take a boat) from EPCOT or DHS.

My bad, just realized that by "day off", you probably mean that you are not going to the parks!
