Dinner at Epcot at 5:15, can we make it to Fantasmic?

We have dinner reservations at 5:15 at Garden Grill in Epcot. Would we still have time after to go to Hollywood Studios to see Fantasmic? Thanks!

This totally depends on what time FANTASMIC is that night..??

You don't say when Fantasmic is showing that night, but you have to allow 60-90 minutes to eat, then (as a guess) 30-60 minutes to leave Epcot travel to DHS and get in line(depending on mode of transport). And you would need to be in line around an hour before Fantasmic started, depending on the time of year and how often it's being shown that week. So if it's being shown after 8 pm, you might make it. That's assuming you eat in less than an hour, take less than 30 minutes to go from restaurant to DHS, and the line isn't too long.

If you hop on the boat I would think you would be able to. The one thing that stood out in my mind was how that stadium fills up. We did the fantasmic dining package.. when we went back to HS a couple nights later we were wondering why there were so many people lined up. They were down from the stadium lined right up to the hat about 2hours before the show. We asked someone wonderign what was going on and they said they were waiting for the show. I havent tried to get into Fantasmic without the preferred seating so I wonder how it would be. Just a heads up!

You'll probably be okay, but you are at Garden Grill which is at the front of Epcot. Are you driving or taking Disney transportation?

If Disney transport, you will have to walk ALL THE WAY to the International Gateway at the back of the park to either get a boat or take the walking path to Studios. I would give yourself at least an hour from the time you leave Garden Grill until you arrive at HS.

If dinner goes late, you may want to consider grabbing a cab.

If it's a slow time of year, you might make it. If it's a busier time, then I would say no because by the time you arrive to the theater there probably won't be any seats left.

If that evening is your only chance to see Fantasmic, I would change the dinner to a non-character meal closer to DHS - something in WS, something in DHS, or a place in the Epcot resorts.

Isn't there a bus at the front entrance that takes you to HS? That would be much quicker

You might be cutting it close, and considering people line up for Fantasmic about an hour or more before it begins seating may be at a premium. You will probably make it, but that's assuming their on time with their reservations, the kitchen isn't having a slow day, you don't get one of the mia servers that are a planners nightmare and transportation is on your side. I'd say try it and call it an adventure, best of luck!

I don't think so, but perhaps someone will come along to confirm/deny. It seems like since they have the boat and walking option, that there isn't a bus. Do the Epcot/Boardwalk resorts have buses to HS?

They generally don't have buses from one park to another but I do know that when I was there in May we took a boat from Epcots International Gateway entrance/exit directly to Hollywood Studios. It stopped at all the resorts along the way (Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht Club/Swan/Dolphin) and took about 20 minutes for the whole thing. Actually a really nice way to get to Hollywood Studios, get to see some resorts and have a relaxing trip.
