Hi Everyone!

Just made my ADRs for upcoming August trip...yes, I waited!! I was flexible, so I wasn't too concerned. We really want to relax and enjoy the POLY this trip, so meals are like the icing on the cake! Usually we hit one or two parks a day, but this time it's a leisurely park a day with several rest days in between.

Anyway, I figured I would just check to see if there was anything at Cinderella Castle, since we've never eaten there. (We've done Norway Princess breakfast and Grand Floridian before.) Guess what? There was an opening for a dinner at 8pm on one of the days that we had carved out to just relax at the resort, so it was perfect. The girls will be so excited.

Now here's my questions....I've read mixed reviews of dinner at CRT. Is it that bad?? Has anyone been recently? Besides Cinderella, of course, who can we expect at dinner?

Thanks in advance!!!

The Fairy Godmother and the mice. It was quite entertaining!! Even my 8 yr old son got into it.

Trying to decide that too, when I called yesterday they had plenty to choose from for dinner. It looks like it'll be our last trip for a while and we've never been inside the castle, but it's so much money and we have zero interest in the princesses. :confused3

Our little one loves the princesses, but is it only Cinderella that is at the dinner? I was trying for breakfast so she could meet more of them, but I think the castle experience will still be exciting, even for the older one.

Yes it's only Cinderella for dinner, and she's not walking in the restaurant. She greets you in & you have your pic taken with her. The Godmother & mice do a little dance thing in the restaurant but they don't stop for autographs or pics (from what I've read here). If you want the full princess experience you need to try booking lunch or breakfast, but it's harder to get.

We got pics with the mice. I know not quite the same as princesses:rotfl2:

I see that you planned to relax at the resort that day; you realize you will use up a park entrance to eat there, right? Just wanted to make sure you know that you will use one day's admission to eat that night.

I ate dinner twice at the castle and wasn't happy with the food either time! The mice and Fairy Godmother came by each table as we ate and we got plenty of pictures, but it still was so mediocre. Its unfortunate that these days its the only way to enjoy the castle (unless you are a child and get to do the boutique below) as they have closed the store underneath.

We decided to try breakfast, if we can get a reservation, as perhaps thats better tasting?

We had dinner at CRT a few days ago. We thought the food was good! The corn & crab soup was delicious, by far my favorite. DH & I didn't like the desserts. The kids liked their food, and were absolutely thrilled with the whole experience. The performance by Fairy Godmother was excellent, and the whole restaurant was clapping, and singing along with her. It was worth every penny, and we loved it. Getting to go up into the castle was a unique experience in itself. We dined late, 8:30, and it was perfect. As soon as we walked out, we were able to walk right to the front of the crowd waiting for fireworks and had a great view of Tink & the fireworks.
