We are contemplating eating dinner here on our arrival day. However, with three little ones, we don't want to try anything too exotic like Spoodles or go to a sports bar (ESPN). Otherwise, I'm in need of suggestions for a nice table service!

Thanks in advance!princess:

Hop across to the Beach Club and have a yummy dinner at Beaches and Cream...think 50's style soda/burger joint.
The 3 little ones would LOVE the Kitchen Sink! Yummy! :thumbsup2

I will check out the Flying Fish menu. Good suggestion!

I would love to do Beaches and Cream, but the last two times we have attempted to eat there, we encountered droves of people waiting to get in. I'm willing to give it another try, but I'll definitely want a backup place just in case. princess:

You are right to avoid ESPN, as it is terrible. Spoodles is far from exotic and they have a kid's menu anyway. Captain's Grille over at the YC is pretty straightforward food.

Big River Brew Pub has good pub grub and the little ones will feel comfortable in the "noisy" atmosphere.

Spoodles would actually be a good choice for a family. We've eaten there and really enjoyed it. Another option is to hop over to Cape May cafe for a clambake dinner at Yacht & Beach Club.

My vote goes to Spoodles also. It is very family oriented and they have a kids menu that isn't that exotic. We have been there for several years now and there are kids of all ages there all the time.

I agree on Spoodles, especially for breakfast (that restaurant is the sleeper of WDW breakfast dining, unique menu and great service).

Another one voting to reconsider Spoodle's. It is one of our favorites. Just remember, you can ask them to omit sauces, etc if you think it is "too exotic". We are kind of plain eaters too but DD loves the oak fired kebab - just asks them not to add the harissa because it is too spicy for her. And she asks them to leave the green spice (sage?) off her four cheese flatbread appetizer.

We haven't tried Flying Fish yet because it is a bit pricey. Big River Grille is OK, better than ESPN on my list but DH and DD prefer ESPN for the TV's. The Captains Grille (the old Yacht Club Galley I think) is good and much less expensive than the Yachtsman. The Yachtsman is awesome for steak but very pricey.

I also agree with many above -- Spoodles is not exotic. Very family oriented.

You might also like taking the boat across to Beach Club (or walk around the lagoon) to Cape May. It's a buffet with a wide range of options and a typical children's selection.

Flying Fish is a bit upscale, but if your kids are well behaved, it's a wonderful choice.

Boardwalk restaurants:

Spoodles - The Disney family restaurant at the Boardwalk. I've liked most of my meals here and don't find it exotic.

ESPN - Sports bar that serves burgers etc.

Flying Fish - Signature restaurant. If your three little ones are really three little ones, I wouldn't recommend it.

Big River Brew Pub - a Brew Pub

Boardwalk Bakery - takeout sandwiches

Spoodles Pizza window - takeout pizza.

I know you said you did not want it but I am a huge fan of Spoodles. This is the only resort resturant we make a special trip to eat at (we always stay at a value). It is a louder place so it does not feel like you must silence the kids, and is a relaxed atmosphere. We love the shrimp linguini and it is our fav meal (both me and the DW) on all of property.

Wow, so many positive reviews about Spoodles! That's why I love these boards! I will definitely consider it now that I have gotten such great feedback. Thanks everyone! princess:
