I know this has probably been asked hundreds of times, but im just doing a little list of the names of good places to eat for lunch/dinner so when we're there we dont end up paying loads for a meal that isnt worth the money.

Was wondering if anyone could just do a quick list of alright places for lunch/dinner whether is counter/buffet or table, i dont need exact prices.

Im on DLRP website, it has the prices but not many up to date reviews..

Thanks :-)

p.s what time is fantillusion??

ONE WEEK :cool1:

Have a look through the restaurant sticky

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1181765

That should give you some ideas :)

Cheapest places are going to be McDo and EoS in Disney Village. After that you have the c/s in the parc like Toad Hall,Colonel Hathis, Fuente del Oro that give not too bad a quality/price deal

In t/s I only eat at Walt's but it's not the cheapest option

Fantillusion is on at 22.25 followed by the fireworks around 23.00

hth :thumbsup2

Hi Noodle,

i just went through all the eateries myself a couple of days ago. I dont fancy paying over €65 for a meal with 2 adults and 2 kids so i drew up a list for our family. This is on the assumption that you have 2 adults and 2 kids like us and dont want to pay over €65 for any single meal or buffet.

The Market House Deli shouldn't be in T/S it's a C/S place and Agrabah,Plaza Gardens,Restaurant des Stars and Lucky Nugget are buffet restaurant ;)

Billy Bobs isnt counter service either, its a full buffet - ah I see you have it in both categories?

Yeh sorry, all of the EXPENSIVE ones are from all kinds of services. I was going to list them all in different areas but was taking ages so i just started listing the expensive ones together. I'll edit it so it doesnt seem too confusing.

EDIT : Edited previous post.

If anyone has anything to add then chip in :) I might go back and do a fully comprehensive price list but as we all know, prices change etc so may not be worthwhile.

Market House Deli is a mid to low range counter service - You'd be eating a fair bit to get it to 70€ for 2 ad/2 ch - It's sandwiches and croques like Victorias or Blockbuster or Cable car bake even :goodvibes

Hollywood and Lime is the Perrier bar no ? I don't think they really do food, just snacks to go with the Perrier drinks

just to add, Cafe Mickey doesn't have to be expensive, as you can order pizza and starters to share rather than a set menu each (large pizza, enough for 2 people each, starts at around 15 euros).

Also, Walts and the Blue Lagoon both do an express lunch menu for under 20 euros per adult, so for 2 adults and 2 children the bill would be under 70 euros using these menus.

Annettes adult and child set menus would be around 60 euros total for 2 adults and children - in fact any restaurant thats on DLPs standard half board plan would come in at around 60 euros or less for a family of 4.

noodle I'm not a foodie and don't spend loads on meals at DLP, but I do like to relax over dinner, so would tend to choose buffet/table service at DLP in the evening once the parks have closed.

Our regular haunts are Cafe Mickey and Annettes in the Village, would return to the Sports Bar too for their pizza/pasta, and wouldn't mind trying King Ludwigs.

In the main park Agrabah Cafe and Plaza Gardens are good value buffets, croque monsieur at Victorias is good, also the counter service meal deals at Toad Hall, Pizzeria Bella Notte and Colonel Hathis, and Fuente del Oro are good value (but beware, counter service does not equal fast service at DLP).

In the Studios, Restaurant des Stars I think is excellent value for money, and the Blockbuster Cafe too (they do croques monsieur here).

I took a photo because I wanted to recreate the drinks at home and apart from a panini, crisps or salad, it's mainly ice-creams or drinks offered here.

Another daft question, where is El Canon at ? Is it in one of the hotels as I've never heard of it before :confused3
I've never heard of this one either :confused3

Thanks - missed that one, i have edited to put market house in the right place :)

Yeh Hollywood and lime seeemed to be just drinks etc so i perosnally wont be going there so thats why its in the top list.

How big is large in Cafe Mickeys ? I'd like to go there but a pizza for sharing would have to be at least 10" IMHO, prefferably 12".

Good idea to take a pic - :thumbsup2 Every time I go I think must try one of those drinks and I never get round to it or it's not great weatherwise.

El Canon is what apparently they call the buffet at La Cantina which I am presuming is in the Santa Fe :goodvibes

The pizzas are plenty for 2 to share. I had one to myself once and couldn't finish it.

I must remember to post the photo - afraid it's the story of my life, I am always full of good intentions that don't come off :rotfl2: You must try one, they were very refreshing on a hot day.

they are at least 10" - they are served on a big dinner plate and the pizza covers the plate. -

Thanks Daftie, actually it looks more like 14" at least. Superb and definitely worth money as 2 pizzas could feed 4 no problem.

Oh my goodness that pizza looks so nice, I'm ridiculously hungry .... why does every thread I go to turn to food

Just to add we were more than stuffed with a pizza and fries between 3 at cafe mickey :thumbsup2
