I have a 22yo DD that is about the size of 5-6 yo. Less than 50 lbs, less than 50 inches tall. She will only eat off of the children's menu items, mac & cheese, spaghetti, chicken nuggets, etc..... Everytime we make an ADR it has to be for 3 adults and then when we get there we usually ask the server to ask the manager to get her meal switched to a kid's meal. In every case, but one, there has not been a problem and they look at her size and make the switch. Is there anything we can do or get to not have to go through this each and everytime we eat ?
thanks

Hmm, can you explain the situation over the phone when you make the ADR? Is there a reason you have to identify her as an adult? Would it be possible to simply make the ADR for two adults and a child, I doubt anybody in the restaurant would think twice. Perhaps if we knew more about the istuation we might be able to steer you in the right direction.

If you are eating a counter service restaurant, they don't care. On our last trip with 8 people (all technically adults), sometimes 7 of the 8 were eating kids meals.
If you are at a table service, we just ask for the children's menu for our DD (who is also 22, but is about 5ft tall and 87 pounds) and we have never been turned down (even though nit says something like "for our friends 9 and under".
If you are at a buffet, the server has the discretion to lower the price. We have usually not asked at all. About 1/2 of the time, the server noticed that she was eating little and what she was eating was off the children's menu and charged us accordingly.
The only way to do it is to ask when you are there. I doubt they will do anything over the phone because they can't see you to know what the situation is.
