I posted a review from our Dining with an Imagineer this last June. Our DD was 17 at the time, and there were 3 other young College age girls that booked it also - so it was fun that all of them called themselves Disney geeks/nerds. There were 2 other couples, it was in a back room at Brown Derby and a pre fixe menu. I knew dd was picky, and so I asked for a plain steak - which embarrassed her to no end of course - but the Imagineer was quick to put her at ease that at this level they are here to please, and in fact because it is Disney they will go out of there way to accommodate and make her happy! For the record, she was happy with the plain steak, and I think I may have ordered her fries... its been awhile...
Our Imagineer was the head Imagineer for the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train project and was now assigned to the Norway Frozen ride. He was quick to say that the article that came out (was it Wall Street Journal?) about the ride was more information than he could talk about, and that he would have to change the subject if we tried to pry out any info from him!! (we googled as soon as we got back to the room, they are going to use the same technology they used in 7 Dwarfs in the projection arena, and he did talk about the projection technology and difficulties they had in 7 Dwarfs - it was fascinating!)
It is hard to get, but it was worth every penny! Each of us got a name badge as well as an autographed plate, but the best part was the memories of one of the best times we've had!
ETA - and I agree, it is a 3 hour sit down at the table with lots of discussion and I wouldn't put a child through that because of the interest level. The girls here talked about becoming an Imagineer, college courses, and of course all of his experiences as he has been with Disney since High School.
