Hi - I've cruised with Disney before but never with 2 rooms/group of 7 (4 adults/3 kids). The rooms are already connected, but will we need to request private dining? I had to have a single person with our group of 8 as I feel like it would be awkward for all involved (this is a shy bunch, nothing against solo travelers!).

If your reservations are linked, you will all be seated together. Chances are you will NOT also have a solo traveler with you.

We just cruised with 7 people over two rooms and got a private table. I didn't request private dining, just connected the rooms. The tables we had were six tops with one more chair at the head of the table.

Did you feel cramped? We have the same configuration for our upcoming cruise and I had (incorrectly) assumed we’d have a 6 top and 2 top shoved together. The kids we’re traveling with are almost 4, 8, and 10.

It was not bad. We were four adults, a 4 yo, and a 7 yo. We did have them clear all the bread stuff as soon as we were done with it as we found it cluttered up the table.

I think it will all depend on the ship, number of passengers and the dining crew. You may have that set up.

Each serving team serves a 4 top, a 6 top and an 8 top. Chances are fairly equal whether you'll get an 8 top with an empty seat or a 6 top with an extra chair.
