Well, most of the food at DLR is nothing better than ok IMO! I've had great things that other days were not so great and vice versa so it's also difficult to give an absolute on any one place.
I do have to agree that Bengal BBQ is not a good value. I used to love it, but now it tastes like microwaved fakey stuff to me and if you buy a couple of skewers plus a drink you've spent close to $15 (and I'm still hungry!). There's also no good place to sit.
I've only had one good experience at Cafe Orleans. The food was fine but the service was absolutely awful in 4 tries out of 5. As a family of 5 we waited FOREVER for every single aspect of the meal. The one time I didn't have that experience, it was just my sister and me and all we ordered were fries so the size of your party and the amount of food likely figure into the wait time.
I'm not a fan of the French Market overall, though they have a few things that are ok. I'm generally not big on cafeteria selections but I do like Rancho del Zocalo ok.
I don't care for Goofy's at all, though my son loves it, or any of the dining places in PPH.
I don't like Whitewater Snacks.
I avoid DLR hamburgers, as others have mentioned!
And much as I WANT to like it, I just don't think the sundaes at the ice cream place on Main St are very good, certainly not for the price.
As a side note, I love La Brea, especially the sit-down part. They serve Starbuck's coffee, btw. They have an excellent lox and bagel and their sandwiches are hugely superior to Bengal BBQ for about the same price, plus you get table service.
