Everyone always says which restaurants to go to- but i want to know which restaurants or counter service to avoid- if not the whole place which items :) Planning on being in park first week of Feb, last time i have been to Dland was 1999 so pre- California Adventure. It will be Me, DH and DD5. THX :bitelip:

white water snacks can be quite a walk unless you plan well. I once waited one hour for food. However it was a very busy day.

I thought the burger place in front of the Jedi Training Academy was the worst combination of food and value for our recent trip (not to mention incredibly noisy and crowded).

Yes don't eat at tomorrow land terrace. It's not good food and a horrible value for what you get. The kids burgers are hilariously tiny. We did eat there this last trip only because we were hungry and waiting to try out for Jedi training. My dh eats anything and that is the only place in all of Disneyland that he says he hates.

Outside of the park, stay away from Captain Kidds. It has gotten a lot of very bad reviews.

I wasn't too impressed by the Classic Cheeseburger at the Hungry Bear, but my boyfriend loved his Fried Green Tomato Sandwich and we loved the Lemon Bumblebee cupcake we shared for dessert! So just don't bother with the cheeseburger :)

My list of places to avoid is short, but subjective, so take them with a grain of salt:

Lucky Fortune Cookery
Tomorrowland Terrace
Village Haus (though they have a new menu now, so I'd give them another try)
Pizza at Tomorrowland Pizza Port (pasta and salads are just OK)

Obviously some people LOVE these places, but it just depends! In DTD, I'd avoid La Brea Express, though the actual restaurant is good.

Hope that helps!

Tomorrowland Terrace in front of the Jedi training camp has the worst food in the park hands down.

We don't eat at TLT too much either, not so good. And we never eat at Captain Kidd's or Tortilla Joe's, TJ's made DBF and I both sick the 2 times we ate there. And Captain Kidd's, that was just gross. lol We also don't go to iHop, it's way overpriced.

I like the food at the Pacific Wharf Café but I do not like the seating which is in the open and sometimes hard to come by. All of the counter service resteraunts at the pacific Warf share the same seating.

It was however a good spot to eat before WOC as the weather was nice and the location close to WOC.

Please don't eat here. Yuck! We did it during our May 2011 visit (I had not yet found DISboards) and it was so bad!

This is true. I like the food there but best to try and eat there at an off time. Seating is hard to come by.

Agree with Tomorrowland Terrace. Awful. And I really don't like Tortilla Jo's. Bad, bad, bad. And, I will probably get boo'd for this but I hate Goofy's Kitchen. Maybe it was the time we went but the food was cold and over all a big waste of money. Characters were fun but it still was your standard, not so great, buffet food. (We went for dinner). Actually, I think all the character meals are pretty bad. Except Storytellers. LOVE Storytellers for breakfast. They have great food.

As with everything, it will depend on taste. Some people love Cafe Orleans, my family did not care for it. Some think Blue Bayou is over rated, we loved it. I have seen rave reviews on Pizza Port, we will never go there again. It is going to be really about your tastes and the value you put on your money. For example, we went to a place in Toon Town on our first trip. It was hot dogs(can't remember the name for the life of me). But, the hot dogs tasted worse than the cheap ones you get at a gas station and we spent $40. We will never go there again. But, I am sure there are others that will.

In Pacific Wharf, I ate at Cuchina Cucamonga & ha a combo meal. For the price, I wasn't impressed. I had some dry rice/beans, and dry chicken tamale. Nothing I would ever get again!

I have heard to avoid coffee, pizza, and hamburgers for the most part in the parks. I did not try pizza or hamburgers, but I did have coffee-really bad! At least they have Starbucks now!:drinking1

I'm surpirsed how many people don't like Tomorrowland Terrace. I remember liking the food there! The had a BBQ burger I really liked. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there (or anywhere other than BB or a WoC dining place) but if I was in the area I'd definitely eat there.

At any rate, I'd skip Carthay Circle. Service was way too slow and eating into our park time. Also, we thought the seats were uncomfortable.

I agree with Tomorrowland Terrace. The food seems like subpar hospital food.

I love Pacific Wharf but the seating is not my favorite- especially on either cold days or hot days- it's all outside!

I personally do not care for Rainforest Cafe in downtown disney. It's overcrowded, overpriced and not that good.

I was also disappointed at the mexican place in DL, but I am also a picky eater and had a bad experience there once where the person messed my order up and wouldn't remake it :/
