I am so confused on how to go about this. I made two reservations already, chef micky's for breakfast and Ohana for dinner.

I arrive 4/2 and we will be spending the day in MK. As of right now I have no ressies for this day.

We are staying at CBR

The next morning I was going to make a res @ Chef Micky's for 715 but I am concerned that may be too early to get the kids out and there since i keep reading that I need ot ensure I allot enough travel time. SO I changed it to 8:25 which might be too late. I am soo confused. Looks like it would be the best day to head to MK for ropedrop if we have ressies

On Monday we have a res for Ohana @ 5 ish... not certin if we are going to keep it, since I htink I am changing park days...

I am sure planning is easier if you have been at least once before :confused3

I think you are fine...

Try to keep your ressies NEAR your PARK of the Day... For Magic Kingdom... Chef Mickeys (Contemporary Resort) and 'Ohana's (Polynesian Resort) are NEAR Magic Kingdom... so you should be fine...

My only thoughts would be that they are BOTH NOT in the park. BOTH your ressies are in RESORTS NEAR Magic Kingdom. You will make things easier for you if you EAT in the PARK you are at... Travel time can suck up your vacation. However both are Great Ressies..

Not sure what other ressies you are looking at... but KEEP your EPCOT Ressies close to EPCOT....and your DHS Ressies close to DHS... same with Animal Kingdom.

I hope I helped with your question... feel free to mail or ask more questions.. I am here to help !

Hugs,
Mary

This is probably going to be your best advice that anyone could give you. On your MK day, if you want to do a character meal, a really great breakfast is at Crystal Palace and if you can get an ADR for before the park even opens, then that would be much better, eventhough you won't be able to see the RD ceremony, but you will be able to get some really great pictures of Main Street and the Castle before the rush of the crowd comes walking in. Then if you want to either go to O'hana's or possibly to CM for dinner then you are just a monorail ride away, afterwards you can head back to MK for the night time festivities. Don't stress out too much and have a wonderful trip.

I really considered the Crystal Palace.... maybe I will change that .

Any suggestions for eating near AK??

The closest restaurants to the park are in the AK Lodge. But there are also plenty of places to eat "in" the park, which is what I would recommend, especially if you are thinking about breakfast.

THANK YOU Poohsfan !!! (((HUGS)))

OP / Simba.... The only TS I've eaten at in AK was the YAK and YETI TS... DS18 and I LOVED it...

(Think P.F. Changs....Loosely...but with GREAT atmosphere)

I really wish we had pics of our food there...but we went for an early lunch and had not had breakfast...

HAD to tour the restaurant... LOVE the decor. We had Tempura Green Beans (the ONLY disappointment)..... Lettuce Wraps... Dumplings.... Tuna appy... Beef withBroccoli...

Everything was delicious....

Thank you everyone .... We decided not to do a TS breakfast this trip .. although that could change.

Since we are there for 3 nights I only get 3 TS

We are doing a late lunch at CRT on Sunday (2 credits) That is our MK day
and keeping our 5pm ohana res. for Monday Where ever we land this day will be fine lol

Tink your advice was sound ... Sometimes my brain does not follow logic, just wants lol

JimmyV thanks a bunch.. you are right I wanted suggestions for inside AK since that is where we are heading first after we arrive. I expect us to be there by 11am Since I heard it could take a long time to get out of MCO and to the resort.

Any CS suggestions for AK and MK??

Thanks so much!

I haven't done CS at AK, but in MK, we really like Pecos Bill. Since its out in Frontierland, it doesn't get as crowded as the CS in Tomorrowland, Cosmic Ray's. (Unless its peak season, when everything is pretty equally crowded.)

Another thing to keep in mind is that every resort has a CS option as well. Most of them have fairly unique options on the menu - like if you want to try Tonga Toast, you can get it at the Polynesian's CS at breakfast. I love the falafel pita with couscous at the Mara, the CS at AKL.

I would honestly skip CRT and do Akershus for breakfast in Epcot. Princess experience, decent food, and only 1 TS, freeing you up for another TS.

CRT is a FAMILY Tradition.... the only time we've skipped CRT was last May and that was because I had SO many new places I wanted to try.... (we did Cali Grill TS on our MK day)

So I do highly recommend CRT and I think your kids will feel like VIP's ...eating in "The Castle " ! I know it's a new experience since I've been... but I still recommend it...

My personal favorite CS in MK is Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.... The CS selection is the BEST in MK... I know it can be seen as busy and hectic... but I LOVE the selection plus the entertainment for the kiddo's...

Their Rib/Chicken platter.... WOW... let me just say... dear Hubby said that was just as good/large/tasty as the TS meals we got at some places...and Hubs is NOT easy to please ....

We could have ordered one meal and split it...

Ribs, Chicken leg and thigh... green beans...potatoes....choc cake/carrot cake.... YUM! PLUS we had 3 picky teens with us...and they all found something to satisfy them....

My AK experiences have been Rainforest, Y&Y... but I DO plan to try Flame Tree BBQ CS... so you may want to look that up....

I must say ... it smelled delicious when we walked past there last visit...

Sounds like you have a WONDERFUL visit planned !

Hugs,
Mary
