Dining to see Illuminations

My DH and I would love to have a romantic dinner at one of the world showcase restaurants and view illumination. What restaurants would you recommend that have the best view for this.

Hi KKMinnie, and welcome to the DIS Boards! Rose & Crown is the only restaurant where you can actually see Illuminations while dining. The number of tables where you can see Illuminations is limited, and there's no way to ensure that you'll get one of those tables. You can try though, if that's what you have your heart set on.

What we prefer to do is dine at one of our favorite restaurants, then go stake out a spot to watch Illuminations. There are many great viewing spots around the lagoon, so it's not difficult to find one.

For a romantic dinner, our favorite so far has been Chefs de France.

I agree with Kaycee.
There are a very limited number of actual viewing tables at R&C. The timing has to be perfect and then left up to Lady Luck. It just depends on how many and how long the previous guests decide to camp out.
Better off eating wherever you really want and view from a different spot.
