If you wish to be seated alone, you need to contact DCL and have the request placed on your reservation. They will give you the "it's only a request, yada, yada, yada". Just tell them you understand that and ask for the request to be placed on your reservation anyway. One note, if you are seated alone, you will be at a 4 top (smallest tables they have).

"Hard" is kind of subjective. The smallest table in the MDRs seats 4, so you would be at a table with three empty seats. I believe Disney would accommodate you if they could...depends on the context of how full the cruise is, and how many other requests (especially couples) there are for private tables. It never hurts to ask! Just call DCL and give them that request; if it's important, and you find out when you board that you didn't get a single table, you could ask again at the table change location.

p.s. To add to my answer, if I may be allowed a personal opinion (even though you didn't ask), if you can't have your own table I bet you'll enjoy spending dinners a cruise with other folks who also similarly Disney lovers

We have always requested it and our request has always been granted, we do the late seating so that may make the request easier to fulfill.

Agree they try their best to accommodate it and it is not difficult, it's not rocket science.

If I were traveling by myself, which on a cruise, having a dh and 4 kids, is probably never, I'd be thrilled to sit alone with a good book and nice servers. Because of work, I often dine alone at restaurants. An extra chair to put my feet up, my kindle/book - that's my introvert's idea of heaven. I would actually have no desire to have to meet and be nice to strangers. That's not my thing.

As long as there are tables available, I'd bet you'll have no issues.

you might would have a higher chance at the late seating as it never seems completely full.

If they aren't able to grant it in the main dining rooms, you will most likely have no issues issues getting a table alone at Cabanas

Ask. You might get it. If you don't, make new friends. Disney goes to great lengths to match up people most of the time (there have been a few exceptions).
