Dining surcharge question

Ok, so I am confused about the dining surcharge. I read in the Unofficial guide to Disneyworld that dining surcharges may apply during the busy seasons. Now I was thinking that we would go into a restaurant and order, use our KTTW to "pay" (we are on the deluxe dining plan), and then will get a bill for $2-$4/person extra that we will have to pay OOP.

However, then thinking about it, we paid extra per day than off season prices for our dining plan so maybe its included in that?

Which one is correct? I want to be prepared before we go with our budget and not be surprised by "extra" charges on our check. Thanks to anyone who has been on the dining plan and can give me accurate information.

The holiday surcharges at the individual restaurants are only applied to cash/oop patrons. These surcharges happen at the same time as DDP seasonal upcharges and are covered by that for those on DDP.

So, B is correct :).

You're not going to get billed for anything extra on a dining plan based on the "peak" fixed price restaurant surcharges. However, as noted if you're traveling during those periods, you will be paying extra for the dining plan anyway (in 2012, the deluxe dining plan will also have a higher peak season price).

Awesome!! Thanks so much for the info!! That is exactly what I was looking for. :thumbsup2
