Hi Folks~
Hoping some of you can give us some suggestions on your favorite restaraunt to try when we head to Universal. We have only scheduled 1 day to spend at Universal and have no idea what our best bet would be. There will be 4 of us.. Hubby, 2 daughters ages 15 & 19 and myself . Looking to find something quick and easy for lunch and more of a sit down type for dinner. Appreciate any advice you have!
Thank you~

Two of my favorites sit-down restaurants:

Pastamore at City Walk, Italian, very good quality, good service and good selection. And, at dinner, it's nice to sit down, be waited on and enjoy a glass of wine.

Mythos, in Islands of Adventue, is probably the best theme park restaurant
you'll ever experience. It has a cool, cave-like armosphere and a really unique menu. Service is good and, weather permitting, you can ask to sit outside on
their covered patio which has a great view of the park.

There's a sandwich shop in Toon Town, (maybe Dagwood's?) that serves
great big sandwiches, counter service, a quick lunch.

I agree with Mythos for lunch....great place and right in the middle of IOA. Sometimes it is nice to sit down in AC and cool off in the middle of the day. Even though you have 1 day you will not be wasting much time. Another favorite place for us to eat lunch is at Finnigan's (in the Studios right across from the Mummy) We like sitting at the bar and having lunch...great food, fast service and lots of fun. Sitting at the bar keeps it informal, fast and just enough time to sit and relax.

For dinner, we have a few favorite places. The Palm at the Hard Rock Hotel is just teriffic. Steaks, fish, lobster, shrimp, chicken....something to please everyone, and the drinks are :thumbsup2

Another favorite is Mamma Dellas at the Portofino Bay Hotel....Very good Italian American food served in little italian kitchens. This is a great time and we always love it. For "real" Italian food try Bice, also at the Portofino Bay hotel.

And last but not least is Tchop Chop at the Royal Pacific. Incredible food with a Polynisian fusion. They serve chicken, fish, steak, from what I hear the ribs are outstanding (don't eat ribs) but I do drink and the cocktails here are also :thumbsup2 .

Well that is my dining out list....we will be there tomorrow :Pinkbounc

You will find excellent food and service at all the restaurants...

You lucky :dog: I saw where Paris had a birthday party :bday: for her squeeze at Bellagio. Did ya'll go?
Likely see you this weekend, if not PBH then one of the restaurants you listed.

With kids those ages, I think the Hard Rock Cafe or maybe Margueritaville would be good choices. Our teens loved both of those places last year. They are in Citywalk, just outside of the park gates but that shouldn't be a problem since everything is close. :) The themes in those restaurants is pretty cool.

Are you visiting both parks in one day?
If so, then you start at IOA, arriving at 8am waiting at the front of the gate. Run to Hulk and take a front seat ride, Spiderman, Dr. Doom. Now hi-tail it to Deuling Dragons and ride. Now head towards the water rides.
You'll pass Burger Digs at about 11am, and that's when they open. They server burgers, fries, and onion rings. The big thing about Burger Digs is they have a huge condiment bar so everyone can pile on the topings. Believe me, you'll be hungry at 11am.

Many will recommend Mythos, but you won't have time for that during the day and they usually close for the evening.

Hard Rock would be nice for dinner, it's located between the parks. They have TV screens playing pop music videos. Order Apps and share. Jumbo Combo and Casedias are nice. Salsa chips are just ok.

If you are just going to Universal Studios I would recommend Richter's for a counter service burger and a CityWalk restaurant for dinner as you leave. With daughters I'd say HRC or Margaritaville unless they are big into basketball then NBA City is an option. Go Hawks!
