I know dining is a personal matter but I always get such good info on the DIS that I figured I'd ask.
What are the dining suggestions that you would make for 2 girls 6&9-actaully the olderst is turning 10 wheil we are away so anything special for that, let me know your thoughts too.

We have done CRT lunch in 2006 as well as HoopDeeDo so I do not want to do those again this trip.
We are doing Chef Mickeys the 1st night-we have done this 2x before & it is a great way to start off the trip and get some characters out of the way.

Anything else you would not miss?????
Suggest away (and if you wouldn't mind saying why, that would be great!!!!)

TIA:goodvibes

my girls are the same age!!!

Our favorite places are Ohana's, Whispering Canyon, Garden Grill, Tony's Town Square, Hollywood & Vine and Cape May Cafe (we're from New England so we love seafood).

We use to go to Liberty Tree Tavern, but I'm not crazy about the food. At Epcot we 'eat around the world', which means we grab a little something at every country and get a sampling of food. This also helps our kids get a taste of different foods that they usually wouldn't be able to try.

1900 Park Fare-let them know about your daughters birthday they do something special. I did both the breakfast and the dinner.

EPCOT-Akershus Princess Storybook Breakfast-I haven't been but have heard it is good.

Chef Mickey's-I have done both breakfast and dinner, they also do something for birthday's

My girls were 8 and 5 last trip and really enjoyed the Princess breakfast at Akershus. DD8 was thrilled to see Mulan, her favorite. (Not guaranteed to appear however) The food was good too, it was 1/2 buffet and 1/2 family style. The set-up worked well for us. They also really liked eating in a car at Sci-Fi, they thought the old movie clips were hysterical! And, surprisingly, they enjoyed the Biergarten in Germany. They had a kids' buffet (just like all the buffets) and they got a kick out of the band.

Just as a note to a prior post, Liberty Tree Tavern will no longer be a character dining location after January 4th. I was hoping to finally try it on our next trip in Feb., but it will be too late to see Mickey there by then.

Well, the T Rex restaurant (and build a dino) are on our list for next time....Yak and Yeti at Animal Kingdom too...the food in pics looks really good.

Our last trip, we enjoyed the Askershus Princess Breakfast...a very nice selection and service, and I don't know if this is the norm, but we also got the photo package free, which was a super-great surprise bonus - we got a photo w/Belle and met Mulan, Jasmine, Aurora and Mary Poppins.

Not sure when you are going, but if you will go during the holidays, it may be very convenient to get a dinner package to watch Candlelight Processional (beautiful!).

Our favorite restaurants are Garden Grill (ds11 turned 9 there) and 1900 (where we had dd9's 8th birthday). Both places went all out, and had great character interaction. Our next trip is postponed until 2010, but we will definitely be going back to these 2 restaurants with the new baby. I also can't wait to try out T-Rex. We love Rainforest, too. They also enjoyed 'Ohana breakfast, but we weren't big fans of the dinner.

My kids also loved SciFi-eating in the cars and watching the movie clips was fun. They didn't like Coral Reef-too "fancy" for them.

Next trip, I want to eat at SciFi, 1900, Castle (my daughter adored this), TRex, and Garden Grill for sure. Maybe 'Ohana breakfast if time. We have also eaten at Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace, and will do them again in the future, but they aren't a must do.
