I had a few ?s about some of the restaurants at WDW. Our trip in May is pretty much a trip celebrating my college graduation but last June was my parents 25th anniver. they attempted to do a trip to Vail, CO in Jan 2006 but my dad was skiing and got hurt (temp. paralyzed his arm/hand) so they ended up flying back the 2nd day of the trip. B/c i'm a college student, my brother too, we didn't throw them a party or anything so do any particular restaurants do anything for special occasions? If so which ones? We are eating at Liberty Tree for mothers day, Coral Reef, Italy, Le Cellier, SciFI, Tonys Town, and Concourse steak. If so, do I need to call and tell the restaurant whats going on? Please let me know, I want to do something magical for them for all the suffering the past year yet not expensive!! oh, and we are on the DDP. thanks!!

You should note the nature of the celebration on your reservation when you make it and then mention it again when you check-in at the restaurant.

One of the best things you can do is order a special celebratory cake in advance. This ensures that you'll get some special attention for your celebration. (Do keep in mind, though, that the vast majority of guests have some special occasion over the past year or so, which their trip could be celebrating. While Disney will often do something special for everyone, if you want your dinner to stand out, the only way to assure that is to pay extra for it.)
