We just booked a cruise on the wonder for next year and just wondering about seating in the main dining room

Usually we like to sit with another couple and Disney does such a good job matching up couples.
It used to be you had to request if you wanted a table by yourself. Oh also do they still do lobster nights on 7 night cruises
Is that still the case.
On our last cruise we were paired up with a couple from CA. He was a retired office who then worked part time for the FBI and she was a prosecuting attorney. Both our DS. and DD are in law enforcement so we had pretty much to talk about.
So basically do you request a table by yourself or do you request if you want to sit with others.
Thanks

You request a private table (by yourself). You can always check when you get on board than you are at a shared table.

You request if you want a table by yourself. If you want to sit with others, that is the 'default' and there's nothing you need to do. Yes, DCL usually does a decent job of matching tablemates.

There is not a specific 'lobster night' anymore; however, some of the menus in the main dining room have lobster on them (for example, Royal Court/Royal Palace). But it's not a designated night, it's just part of the normal MDR menu rotation.
