wow....nice job on the reviews...
the only one of that list that i remember eating at when we were at DL 4 years ago was the Blue Bayou......
in the lead up to our trip i talked a lot about it as it had made a big impression on me the last time I'd eaten there (when i was 16 years old in 1971/2 - over new years- i was there for the Rose Bowl - when Michigan lost to Stanford - but that's another story)..
anyway....back in 1971 we had an unbelievable meal there.....really high quality......and the setting was superb....
so i definitely wanted us all to eat there...
i should have done what you did and asked for a water-side table.....
although we could see the water from where we were, the feeling of romance was entirely lost due to the extreme crowding of the tables....
they must have tripled the number of tables in the restaurant from the last time I'd eaten there.....and the crowding was very unpleasant and detracted completely from the experience......i felt as if the tables around us were right on top of us...
i didn't even really notice the food, since the setting was so unpleasant....i was never so disappointed and felt terrible that i'd built it up so much to the family....because i'd loved the food so much when i was there the first time, i'd planned on our eating there twice during our 4 days at DL/DCA......but after that meal, I cancelled our reservation....
