We were only there for Fri and Sat night so my reviews are short! It was just DH and I for a spontaneous trip.
Fri night at Spoodles - It was good, not great. Our server was not good. We had French lentil soup (great, DH esp. loved it) and salad to start(thought it would be lettuce, but it was just cucumbers, etc. stacked in little pile, not what I was expecting). I had mushroom gnocchi, which was good and different, and DH had strip (?), which he didn't think was that great. For dessert, he had creme brulee, but he didn't realize it had mocha in it so not that great for him.
Sat lunch was counter service - DH was hungry by 11 am so he went ahead and ate at Electric Umbrella. CMs were extremely rude. His burger and fries were good. Then I ate at counter in Japan, but don't remember the name - it's on left when facing Japan. I had teriyaki chicken and rice, which was good, and he ate sushi, which he didn't like. He ate popcorn in the afternoon and didn't feel too good for the rest of the day.
Sat dinner at Le Cellier - We had never been for dinner, and DISers always rave about it. We couldn't get PS til 8:40 pm, but it turned out great. We ordered and told the server we wanted to go outside to see Illuminations ( I miss the ending they had at Christmas time). We came back inside and the food was ready. I had the cheddar cheese soup - yum! Now I see why everyone talks about it. I don't like beer, but I couldn't taste it at all. DH had tomato stack and loved it. For entrees, I had the maple glazed salmon, which was great, and DH had some sort of steak (I don't eat red meat and can't remember what it was), which he thought was good. They gave us a table in the corner and no one was around us. We both liked the atmosphere, and our server was great. I was surprised the bill wasn't more. I think this place is a good value.
Sun lunch at Boardwalk Bakery - We just grabbed sandwiches for the drive home. I had the turkey with curry mayo and it was great! DH had Italian mufferetta (sp?), which he thought was good. I didn't know they had sandwiches there and was surprised it was so good. We had a Mickey head rice krispy treat for dessert - I love those things.
That's it! It was a quick trip. Thanks for reading my review!
