Just got back yesterday....boohoo here is a short review of where and what we ate. We did have the dining plan and stayed at SSR.
Saturday, 8/12
We arrived around lunch time so we went over to the Artist Palette for something quick. I had the hawaiian flatbread which was pretty good, DH had the BBQ chicken flatbread, and DS had the kid's chicken nuggets which he gave a
. Overall it was pretty good, but probably won't eat there again, not a big fan of the flatbread.
For diner we had Beaches N' Cream....OMG....yummieee!!! We all had cheeseburger and fries. We had the No Way Jose for desert. I will have to say, this resturant was SOOO TINY!!! Litterly there is only like 8 tables and the counter to sit at. We waited about 30 minutes before being seated, not to bad.
Sunday, 8/13
For lunch we had the Turf Club. We had the crab bites for an appetizer, I had the reuben sandwhich, DH had the penne pasta with shrimp, & DS had the chicken noodle soup, cheese burger and sundae. The pasta and reuben were very good!! Would definetly eat there again!! Yummiee!!
For diner we had O'hana's. We eat here for diner every time we visit WDW. Love it!! Not much more to say about that!
Monday, 8/14
We went back for O'hana's for the breakfast. We try to do this at least once every couple years. DS loves stich. Just your basic WDW breakfast fare, we go more for the character interaction.
Dinner we ate at Mama Melrose. This was ok. Will probably not go back. I had the 4 cheese pizza, caeser salad, and tiramisu. DH had the chicken parmesan, minestrone soup, and chocolate truffle cake. DS had the spagetti and chocolate ice cream. It was just your basic italian resurant. Although the food was ok, it wasn't like mouth watering. Won't probably return.
Tuesday, 8/15
Late lunch/early diner at Coral Reef. Now I have to say it was cool to eat at this resturant just for the astmophere. The food was pretty good. I had the creamy lobster soup, the slow-braised sirloin, and the chocolate wave. The soup was yummmieee, highly recommend. The sirloin was ok, it was soaked in a sweet type of BBQ sause. The chocolate was was de-licous!! DH had the shrimp cocktail, grilled Mahi-mahi, and chocolate wave. He said his was pretty good. DS had the grilled chicken breast, french fries, and build your own sundae. He really like the sundae, it was fun for him to make. Now, that being said, the dining system for the entire WDW was down and we waited for a table for a wopping 1 1/2 hours to eat!!!! We ate a late breakfast, so it was okay that we waited, but 1 1/2 hours was a little excessive. They had to resort to the "old fashion way" to handle ADR's. Our waiter was very nice, but VERY SLOW!!!!! We waited about 15 minutes once seated to even get our drinks ordered, but of course by that time I had the menu memorized for our long wait and told him we were ready to order too
. The other BIG complaint I had was there were a couple sea turtles that of course had to sit right by our table in the tank, which was very cool, BUT every child in that resturant had to SQUEEZE there way behind my DH & DS's chair and look at the turtles. I know they are excited to see them, but we were eating and kids were climbing all over my DH & DS's chairs. Very annoying. If we ever go back, we will request not to sit by the tank.
If you have any questions, please ask!!
