After reading so many wonderful posts with dining reviews, I'm going to take the plunge and give my two cents worth! (That's really all I have left anyway! LOL) We checked into POR about 11:30 Am, and decided to take a short walk around before lunch. We ate at the food court. Let me digress and give some info about our group. Myself : 38, DH : 39, DS : 15, DS : 12, DD : 4. We all enjoy eating, and my plan was to eat at places we hadn't tried before. (The boys were against this plan!!) For lunch we had: me - cheeseburger and fries, DH - meatball parmesan sandwich, DS - double cheeseburger and fries, DS - child's chicken strips and corn, and DD - child's mac and cheese. All were pleased. The burgers (from Blue Bayou Burgers ) were really great tasting, and between the five of us, not one crumb was left. The chicken strips were really good too. My only complaint is the cost. Food here is not inexpensive! After going to Future World at Epcot ( a family tradition!!) we came back to POR to swim and relax. The boys decided to go to MK, and DH, DD and myself went to Boatwrights Dining Hall for dinner. Our server, Susan, came over and brought warm rolls, and we ordered. We shared the garlic cheese bites with marinara dipping sauce (very good) I had the pot roast (2 generous slices, mashed potatoes and vegetables) DH had the Piroque o pasta (clams, shrimp, linguine and a garlic cream sauce) DD had chicken strips with mashed potatoes. The pot roast was very good, tender and tasty, the mashed potatoes warm and comfortable. DH liked the pasta but thought the sauce needed more garlic. DD ate some, but was more tired than anything. WE took the rest of hers backa to the room for the boys to finish when they came back. Boatwright's was relaxed and since it was 8:00, not very crowded. Susan was attentive, but not hovering. All in all , a great relaxing meal. Just the way to end our first day in the magic!!!!
