8/15 dinner at Hollywood and Vine - we arrived about 15 minutes before PS time and checked in - had to wait a bit but were seated right at PS time - so that was good. DD had the drink with the glowing cube -said it was wonderful. There were lots of things on the buffet that night - I forgot to write them down - but the roasted potatoes were a big hit with all three of us and I also tried the corn spoon bread with the creamed corn on top - I never would have tried it had I not seen it mentioned on these boards - it was WONDERFUL - all in all, we liked this restaurant (though the Ice cream machine was empty and dd was disappointed by that) and will probably return.
8/16 - lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe at AK - we did ee at AK and were getting ready to leave the park at 11:30 or so - we decided to have lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe. DD had the triple slushie (red, blue & orange in a souvenier cup) said it was great and finished it all. She had the buffalo chicken salad minus the blue cheese and dressing - said it was excellent - and they got the special requests right. I had the volcanic cobb salad - again minus the bleu cheese (again they got it right) it was fabulous!! My friend had the crab dip and said it was excellent also - she said this was her favorite meal of the whole trip.
Dinner - Rose and Crown - again we checked in 15 minutes before PS time and were seated just about at PS time. As an aside here, while we were waiting, I went over to a little cart between Canada and UK and got a frozen mocha thingie that was to die for!! - both DD and I had the Ribeye steak - DDs was over cooked and very tough. Mine was okay - french fries were very good - baked potato was okay. The yorkshire pudding was not very good at all - mine at home is better. My friend had the fish and chips and said they were excellent (and we are from New England so she is picky about her fish) She also had the berry smoothie and said that was yummy. All in all - only an okay meal and we will probably not return there.
