We were on the dining plan for our easter trip. For the most part, food was really good. DH had a hard time walking in the parks after stuffing himself :rotfl2: It was me, dh, ds 9 and ds 1.
Day 1- Crystal palace dinner- i cannot say enough good things about this buffet. Food was hot and delicious. The carved meats were tender and juicy. Service was excellent as our waitress kept clearing table and refilling sodas promptly. Characters were great. Definitly will do again.
Day 2- CRT lunch. i paid oop for this lunch since ds9 thinks it is so cool to eat in the castle. picture came out really nice. Food was excellent. DH had the pork tenderloin-he said was excellent and i had the major domos pie which was fantastic. ds9 had pretzel dogs and ds had buttered pasta which he did not eat. He preferred the majopr domos pie ;) Dessert was the blueberry buckle which was delicious. i had also pre-ordered the slipper which was just ok. the fruit tasted too tart and the cake under the slipper was stale. looked much better than it was. Character interaction was good although ds9 wasn't thrilled to meet/talk to the princesses. :teeth:

Thanks for sharing that, I wanted to do this on our next trip! I'm still torn about which meal to eat there, since it would be so neat to walk down a main street that is practically empty if we had the earliest seating for Breakfast. :) Thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you for the reviews! I'm eating at both of these places for the first time in Sept. and I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed them. Did you feel that you had good character interaction at The Crystal Palace? Dd is into Pooh and his friends (especially Piglet) and it would make her day to have a few minutes with those characters.

The food sounded good at both places. I'm looking forward to the Blueberry Buckle dessert.

Excellent interaction at the crystal palace. pooh and friends are my ds's favorites and they all came around twice. piglet kissed the top of both boys heads and all the characters really made the kids feel special.
Day 2 dinner ltt- we liked the colonial atmoshere here but found the food to be average-no complaints since we weren't expecting more. However the apple cobbler was fantastic and we asked for seconds :teeth: It was as though it had just came out of the oven with a mound of ice cream on it. Charcaters were great-goofy playing jokes on people-chip and dale ran around after one another. DS 9 asked if we could do this one again.
DAY 3- Sci fi dine in theater-Well, what can i say? The food quality here makes mcdonalds a 4 star restaurant. We aren't picky eaters but didn't find anything edible here except dessert. I had the chicken sandwich which i only took one bite of, dh had the ribs which were overdone/dry. Upon complaining to the waitress she says oh and comes back with sauce. We should've complained to the manager but didn't due to having fast passes.

Day 3-Well, since we were starving since we didn't eat any lunch. We made a last minute adr for ohanas. it was the best meal of the trip. I really didn't expect it to be soooooooo much food. the salad was good, sweet and sour shrimp-yum, scallpoed potatos excellent, all meat was seasoned to perfectio very tender. Dessert was excellent. We had a 9 10 ressie and at 10 when wishes started, they dimmed the lights and piped in the music. perfect timimg just as we began dessert. Favorite meal overall.
Day 4-garden grill lunch-good food, good character interaction. the restaurant didn't rotate though. Dessert platter was excellent.
Day 5-chef mickeys-easter dinner-yuck is all i can say. carved meat was overcooked so badly-we couldn't chew the meat-too dry. Even the pasta and potato salad were bland. Sadly, we ended up eating from the kids section-pizza and chicken strips. Even the desserts were a little bland especially the mini cheesecakes. maybe they were having a bad night....character interaction wasv excellent though and we had fun.

Day 6-we canceled our adr for the kona cafe and made a last minute ressie for ltt-they loved this character meal and wanted to do it once more for going home.
Counter service-four seasons (i think) in the Land. dh had a ham sandwich and i had the asian plate-sweet and sour shrimp. was ok nothing to write home about. ds had a make your own sub-he liked it. we all had srawberry shortcake for dessert.
Flame tree barbeque in ak-excellent for cs. I had the half of chicken-it was so good, couldn't believe we got so much food for cs credits, baked beans were probably the best baked beans we had, dh had the bar-b-q beef sandwich-he liked it alot. ds 9 had the hot dog kids meal. we all got the chocalate cake for dessert.
wolfgang puck express in downtown disney-best cs ever. food is brought out to you on real plates. i had the warm chicken bar-b-q sandwich-excellent, dh had the chicken caesar salad and ds had a pizza. we both had the creme brulee and ds had a giant cookie.

I've never had dinner there, I plan to on our next trip, but the breakfast is one of my favorites at WDW and a must-do if you have Winnie the Pooh fans in your family! :)
