We did some big dining this time since it was a special vacation.
Day 1
GF Afternoon Tea- DH and I got the Buckingham. I had the Gardenview blend and DH had the Mad Hatter. Both were quite nice. I couldn't smell the teas b/c they're revamping the book and it wasn't ready yet. At least that's what the CM told me. We had tea sandwiches and an onion tart which was surprisingly sweet, then we had a raisin scone with strawberry preserves and cream and a raspberry tart and ended the service with me getting the strawberries and cream and DH getting a raspberry mousse swan and a chocolate filled eclair. The whole service was tasty and by the time we were done I was so full I had to give DH half my strawberries and cream. BTW, there were walk-ups available.
Day 2
WCC- There was almost no one in the restaurant and the antics were kept to a minimum which was fine b/c we were enjoying those ribs on the skillet. We ate till we were bursting but it was worth it. Those ribs were fall off the bone tender and yummy w/o any sauce on them.
MVMCP- we had hot cocoa, apple juice, cookies and apples. We got some from the Columbia Harbor House and there was a long line but the lines died our after the fireworks. CP was empty and they were just pushing stuff on us telling us to take as much as we wanted. It was great. The cookies were just sugar cookies with red and green sugar sprinkles so I just ate the little bags of apples instead.
Day 3
Roaring Forks- Lunch- DH had chili and fries and I had the cheese flatbread. We shared and everything was pretty good. The chili was a little flat and I'm partial to an actual crust on my pizza but it was still tasty.
O'Hana- We actually sat at the same table we sat at a few months before when it was our first trip here for dinner. We even got to see Wishes that night from our table. The food was good and plentiful as always and our server made sure I got a picture of me and Lipoa. We got lei for our anniversary which was nice and of course we ate till we were bursting. Those meats and salad are so good except for the sausage. I did notice that when the bring the meat around they now tell you which sauce is best with which meat. They were right. It made the meat even better. Our server was extremely attentive and didn't rush us at all. In fact, she told us to stick around and watch Wishes and so I could get my pic with Lipoa.
Day 4
Ate our way part way around the world- We started with fish and chips in England. They were really good and I hate fish. Then we got Aero bars from the tea shop. We made our way to Japan and had to eat at Yakitori House. We got the Tonosoma combo and the Kaki-Age Udon to split. Yummy as always.
Roaring Forks- We stayed in our last night since I was sick and ate at the food court. It's small but the burgers were dripping with cheesey goodness and were fresh to order and we had fries that just came out the fryer. We took it up to our room where we were able to watch Wishes from our window.
We had a great time and yummy food as well.
