This time we really didnt do too many sitdowns because dh was at his conference and had free food and the 3 teen ds would rather spend time with rides and attractions versus eating.
Table Service
Biergarten - I just did a seperate thread on this. It was terrible, even worse than my worst expectations. The 3 ds have begged us never to go back there again. You can read that one seperately.
Hollywood and Vine - I specifically asked for just the meal since I knew I couldnt use the dde card for the fantasmic pkg. Well dh was with us but had to get back to the conference. They told us they were totally overbooked and we would most likely have to wait 40 mins. past our adr time. Well dh left early and I dont think he ate too much. Then we were sprinkled with pixie dust and got the fantasmic seats. I didnt have my dde card with me anyway so we used the pass. I dont know if that was a mistake by the cm or it was to placate my dh who already talked to the check in cms about his time concerns etc. Compared to april I really didnt like the food too much this time. I dont know if the whole menu was totally different or just a few things. I had my favorite turkey pot roast. Everyone like the flank steak, peel and eat shrimp. There were alot of roasted veg. choices. The pineapple upside down cake was good.
Crystal Palace - Our server was Vinnie and he was a real hoot. So much fun. He told us Rita Moreno was there the other night. The food was good and everyone was happy. The soups were veg. beef and turkey chowder. I liked the mediterrean pasta salad and the ds loved the rolls. The prime rib was good and the other choice was turkey. The ds liked the pizza and chicken fingers. For dessert I had my favorite bannana bread pudding.
Chef Mickey - For dinner Tom was our server. He was quiet and very efficient. This time we were not seated in the main room, but right behind the buffet. The table next to us had an infant in a carrier on the booth seating and the dad really was not paying attention when our l ds wanted to get up. It was a real pain. I had to move the whole table out just to get ds out. Everything here was fresh and good. The prime rib was good and the veg. beef soup was good. The orange flavored carrots were yummy and the ds loved the mickey pasta. Everyone overdid it on the desserts. My favorites were the mini tarts with raspberries and blackberries on them.
Counter Service - Food Court in the Land
2 of the DS had the asian stir frys. One ds and I had the turkey and muenster on foccacia bread. They had sunchips and baked lays. We all loved the ice cream. I remember the chocolate as very good.
Pecos Bills - Burgers and Turkey Wraps, The hot chocolate hit the spot and no one liked the chili. They gave us free desserts here and I dont know why. The ds didnt like them anyway.
Electric Umbrella - Burgers again. Boring, boring. The fruit cup was good as was the strawberry cheesecake.
Cheesecake Factory at Disney Quest - Grilled chicken sandwhiches, very good, barbequed pork sandwhich which ds said was good. For dessert we shared a hot fudge brownie sundae and chocolate cake. Those 2 desserts were almost $12, wow!!
Snacks - First time we tried Wetzels Pretzels at DTD. The pretzels were hot and salty, but a little too doughy for our taste.
DH and I did a little snacking around the world. He started in france with a strawberry crepe, yummy, then we went to Morrocco and we had baklava and a tangerine slushy. All I can say is I definetely want to get lunch here next time. Yummy looking and smelling food. Then we had funnel cake on the way to the american adventure not to mention all the espresso dh had along the way.
Next time I hope to eat a little better!!
