DH and I stayed at the Beach Club and were on the Dining Plan from 10/11-17. What a great deal! There was plenty of food to feed us for the week, we only paid out of pocket for one meal. The dining reviews really helped us decide where to eat, so I hope ours helps people too....

Tuesday October 11, arrival day. Dinner at Wolfgang Cafe (2TS) We liked it here, it was a good place to start. DH had caesar salad for an appetizer (much too much dressing), penne with Bolognase sauce for his meal (said it was good sauce), and the creme brulee sampler for dessert, he loved this! I had crab cakes for my app. (Yummy!), salmon with potatoes and spinach for the meal (this was the best seafood of the trip for me), and key lime pie for dessert (sooooooooooooo good!)

Wednesday October 12. Our only out of pocket meal, we had Breakfast with Pooh & co. at Crystal Palace. This was a great buffet and the atmosphere was really fun. The characters did a good job of moving around the room and we got pictures with all.

Dinner at Earl of Sandwich (2CS). DH had the meatball sandwich and I had the tuna melt. Both were very good, especially the bread. We each had diet cokes and a brownie and cupcake for dessert.

Thursday October 13. Lunch at MGM-Backlot Express (2CS). DH had the double cheeseburger with fries and chocolate cake for dessert. I had the chicken strips with fries and chocolate mousse for dessert. We thought it was good for a quick park meal.

Dinner at Le Cellier (2TS). This was by far our favorite meal!!! We loved the atmosphere and the service was wonderful. It definitely lived up to the hype! It will definitely be a staple for our future trips. DH had caesar salad for app, 14 oz. sirloin steak with potatoes for meal (said it was cooked perfect!). I had the mussells for app, they were the best mussells I have ever had!, chicken with potatoes and asparagas for my meal. We both had the apple/cherry cobbler for dessert, it was amazing. Our server was Mo and he was just great. You have to go here!

Friday October 14. Lunch at Earl of Sandwich (2CS). We tried to go to Wolfgang Express, but it didn't smell very good inside and there was a big lack of seating, so back to the Earl we went. DH had the egg salad sandwich and I had the Caprese (buffalo mozz. cheese, basil, and tomatoes) they were both great sandwiches. We both had brownies for dessert. We paid out of pocket for a bag of chips to split.

Dinner at Kona Cafe in the Poly (2TS). We loved it here!! The food was so good and it was different. Our server tried to rush us a little, but we told him we didn't have plans for the night other than dinner and he slowed right down. We split the crab cakes and the sticky wings for appetizers. We both loved the wings. DH had the filet mignon and shirmp special and said it was delicious. I had the macademia nut mahi mahi, which was big and good. DH had the macademia nut chocolate torte for dessert and I had the white chocolate cheesecake. Everything was yummy!

Saturday October 15. Lunch by the pool at Beach Club -Hurricane Hanna's (2CS). This was ok, not great, but we didn't want to get dressed and leave the pool, so it was convenient. DH had the chicken caesar wrap and wished he got my Cape Cod wrap (filled with turkey, cheese, and bacon) so we split half and half. The caesar wrap was all lettuce. Both sandwiches came with chips and we each got a big chocolate chip cookie for dessert.

Dinner at Narcoossee's (4TS). This was our only disapointment. We had read all the mixed reviews and decided to take a chance because we love seafood and the GF. It was a waste of 4TS, I wished we believed the bad reviews. The service and food were both bad. DH had the butternut/crab soup for an app, he said it was much too sweet. I had the mussells for my app and they couldn't compare to the Le Cellier mussells earlier in the week. They were too cheesy and much too big. We both had the surf and turf, the filet was very good, but the lobster was like tasteless rubber, not at all sweet like the New England lobster we are both used to. We both had the Expedition Everest "cake" for dessert and it really needs to have a different description. It was like 2 biscotti cookies with chocolate sauce and not like cake at all. Overall, we wished we hadn't wasted 4TS here. Oh well, live and learn.

Sunday October 16. Breakfast at Tusker House in AK (2CS). DH had the scrambled eggs, w/bacon and hashbrowns. He said it was very good. I had the fresh fruit bowl with yogurt which was great. For dessert he had the cinnamon roll and I had a cheese danish. Both were yummy.

Lunch at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot (2CS). DH had the ham/salami sandwhich with chips and a smores brownie for dessert. I had a turkey/cheese sandwhich with chips and chocolate mousse cake for dessert. We thought this was good quality for a counter service meal.

Monday October 17. Lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL (2TS). We loved it here and had Debbie as our server, she was so fun! We spilt chicken quesidilla and chilli nachos for our apps. YUM!! We both had cheeseburgers with fries for our meal. DH had the caramel apple pie for dessert and said it was his best dessert of the week. I had the smores cake, which was great.

Overall, a great trip. I didn't keep track of all the prices of our meals, but the plan was great and provided us plently of food for our trip. Would definitely do it again!!!! Feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks for the reviews!

At Hurricane Hanna's, did they tell you what dessert you could get with CS meal? Was it only a cookie you could have? Not that cookies aren't good, because I've never turned down a cookie, it's just that I like to have a variety to choose from.

Thanks again.

They had cookies and ice cream bars for dessert at Hurricane Hanna's. We chose the cookies because they wouldn't melt while we ate our lunch :)
