Dining Ressie in Park w/out Ticket?

Do I have to have a ticket to go to a restaurant in Epcot? We have the DDP with 4 day NO HOPPER tickets. But, several of the places we'd like to eat for our TS are in Epcot. If I make ressies there, would I have to use a ticket to get in just to eat? My gut says yes, but I wanted to be sure before I make our dinner plans.

Yup! You must have admission to the park to eat at the restaurants.

Also, if you don't have Park Hopper, you can only go to one park a day, i.e. you can't go to MK then go to EPCOT that night and use a day's admission.

yep, you need to use your ticket.

Your options would be to 1) only eat at Epcot on the days you go to Epcot or 2) get the park hopper added to your ticket.

If you don't have the hopper added to your ticket you can only go to ONE park per day.

Alrighty, then....that's what I figured. This is the first trip we're taking w/out park hoppers, so my planning is not going to be the same. Hmmmm....I didn't realize how much I enjoyed having the freedom park hopping affords!

This is why we have always had hoppers. Most of our dinners are at Epcot but I don't want to spend the entire day there. We often spend the day at AK which closes early and then head to Epcot for dinner. Same with DHS as we don't care for the restaurants there. Hoppers give us the flexibility to go to any park we decide each morning so our only planning is where we need to be for dinner. If EP or MK are open late nights we may hop to one of them after dinner.

There are some excellent restaurants at some of the resorts as an option.
