A lot of people do it online and do it well. I always call because I do better that way. I figure I can always swap out if I find something on line that I want more, but calling I have a lot less frustration since I can say I need this restaurant on this or that day and they can find it more quickly and more easily than I can.

I do most online, but one time I kept having issues and called. They took care of me.

I would say whatever you are more comfortable with.
I prefer online.

Yes.

We have done it both ways. For our trip over Thanksgiving this year we called and made the resizes with a CM. Given the crowds, we thought it might be faster to have them search times, etc for us. When we have gone at no peak times, online has worked quite well.

If you do not get exactly what you want, keep checking back as people change reservations and something might open up.

If you are going to try to get a reservation at Be Our Guest in the MK, you best be prepared.

The DIS Restaurant forum would get half the posts it does now if there were no BOG threads. Other than that one place, you should be good. But what do I know about Dining?

This week I just scheduled my one reservation at WDW that I will do on my upcoming January trip. It was dinner to celebrate (fingers crossed) a successful Half Marathon run. I got the time/place I wanted but then again I wasn't shooting for a tough place to get.
