Dining Reservations

I am staying at AKV in May, for our first DVC trip!! I want to make a reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table, I want to make it at 180 days out. Do I call Member Services for DVC or regular Disney Dining#. Thanks for any assistance!!

Call Disney Dining. Member Services is basicaly transferring ADR requests to dining, and for CRT the later opeing time of DVC Member Services could mean a missed reservation.

If you go to the DIS Restaurant board, you will find an entire thread dedicated to getting CRT ADRs. Read the first page or two and follow the advice -- it's the only way you will get an ADR, even at exactly 180 days.

Three keys are 1) you need to call at exactly 6:59 AM Eastern time, 2) you need to know the prompts and speed through them without listening, and 3) be very direct -- "I need Cindy's!" -- and apologize later. Any time you spend developing a personal relationship with the CM is time your ADR is slipping away. You can get all gushy and friendly AFTER you have the ADR. The CM's understand.

Also be aware that some of the CRT availability is open at 180 +10 for onsite guests only. I would start calling as early as you are able, understanding that just because nothing is available at +10 doesn't mean it won't be there exactly at 180 days. But it will NOT be there at 7:01 AM.

Reservations at Cinderella's Table are not the high-pressure, call at 7:59:59 exercise they used to be!

I got one (for four of us, for b'fast, for the THursday before Labor Day, I called in June (about 3 months before our trip), and had choices of times and days (within our five day "window")...

I vaguely recall reading somewhere that now that Cinderella's Table does character meals at lunch as well as at b'fast, it's a much easier reservation to get...

Anyway, calling at 180 days I think it's now likely you'll have some choices as to date and time ...

But note: you probably do need to call far in advance...when I tried to change the size of our reservation (from 4 to 5) at about 2 months out, I couldn't--nothing was available...so it's not like you can walk in or even call just a little ahead and get a reservation!
