Dining Reservations when booked through AAA

I know I can make dining reservations on my own, that aren't linked to any reservation.

But I'm thinking specifically about CRT -- If I'm on the dining plan, and booked on a DDP package through AAA -- Can I make the reservation myself using dining plan credits? Would I have to pay in advance, and get refunded on the actual date? Or has anyone had AAA make reservations for them?

I booked our trip through AAA but I made all of our dining reservations either online or by phone with my AAA confirmation number.

if you have the dining plan and intend on using the credits and not pre-paying for CRT, I would suggest calling to make the reservations. The online doesn't seem to always link up correctly and it may end up charging your credit card.

I have ADR's for 2 diner shows (Hoop Dee Doo & Aloha) that require a pre-pay (similar to CRT these also use up 2 dining credits). Made both ressies over the phone and did not get charged because of the dining plan.

I booked my trip 3 months out so 180 wasn't an option. I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to do 180+10

Thanks for the reply.. Were you able to use the 180+10 window?

I booked my package with AAA and I was able to make ADR's 180+10 online. I had to click on retrieve reservation for the system to find my package reservation. I would advise setting your account up beforehand to make sure you're ready to go.

I made my ADRs by phone using the package confirmation number from AAA with no problem. Although I used a credit card to reserve some of the ADRs, my card was not charged in advance. The CM said that all of the ADRs were linked to our package, so if we didn't show up, our package would be charged, not my card.

I didn't want AAA making reservations for me because I wanted to hear the available times and choose myself (in case they didn't have an optimal time available) and double check to make sure everything was correct. The first CM actually booked our 8 a.m. ADR at Akershus for 8 p.m., but I was able to call back immediately to get it fixed, whereas I might have had to wait several days for the travel agent to do that, and in the intervening time, the open times for breakfast might have filled up.
