I know my fellow DISsers to be full of good advice and tips, so i present to you my finalish dining list before booking. We have a 13 night stay at the Yacht Club booked.
I would love good and bad thoughts

Si-Fi diner- its become a tradition for this place to be our 1st Disney TS meal.

Boardwalk Pizza window OOP- just for the novelty

Chefs De France-Wild card

Crystal Palace Breakfast- I want to get kids pictured infront of the castle with nobody in the way.

Califonia Grill- DH has always wanted to dine here.

Beigarten- Another wild card

Hoop De Doo Musical review- More for the entertainment than the food.

ESPN- so DS can get his sports fix.

Wishes Dessert Party OOP-If i can get a reservation.

Ohanas- Thinking its similar to Whispering Canyon but not sure.

Grand Floridian Cafe-Seem to remember Wayne saying it was one of the best.

Final night Yachtmans Steakhouse or Brown Derby- Love both cant decide.

Hi,

Can't really give an opinion on all of them as I haven't done them but I will go with what I've done :)

Sci-Fi - only been the once but did enjoy the restaurant, service was slightly slow but that never bothers me as I like to take my time anyway, but maybe could be frustrating if you had plans in the park

California Grill - been twice now (both times so we could see wishes) and absolutely loved it. The meal this year (only 2 weeks ago :() was the best of the holiday by a mile

Biergarten - Did this for the first time this year and thought it was great. Really good atmosphere/entertainment and great sausages :)

ESPN - Only went there for a drink but saw the food that was being served and yowzers that was some hefty portions!!!! If you can go there when there's a local sports game on as well then the atmosphere is great (the Tampa Bay Rays were playing when we were there and there was plenty of cheering although I didn't have a clue what for :))

Ohana's - Plenty of food served table side (this isn't like whispering canyon as it's a set menu) Good entertainment and be prepared for the meat sweats afterwards :)

Yachtsmans - unfortunately did this restaurant the day after Ohana's and was still feeling the after effects :). Good food but in my opinion not quite worth the 2 credits you have to use if on the DDP

Doubt it will help much, for every few good reviews someone will post a bad one for every restaurant. None are perfect, we all like different things, staff have good and bad days, chefs have good and bad days.......

Chefs De France - did it for 1st time this August, OK but did it to see Remy, doubt we will return.

Crystal Palace Breakfast - great for empty park, not a breakfast fan.

Califonia Grill - One of worst meals we have had onsite, over 2 hours for 2 courses and came out hungry.

Beigarten - not our thing, didn't enjoy.

Hoop De Doo - brilliant, done it 4 times, next year will be 5th.

Wishes Dessert Party OOP - never done it, way too expensive for me,, would rather goto raglan rd for bread & butter pudding :cloud9: :rotfl:

Ohanas - good if you avoid the middle tables near the "show", its shockingly bad.

Grand Floridian Cafe - correct, one of our faves, will be top of list along with Hoop for next year.

Yachtmans Steakhouse - love the steak but very poor desserts.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

If this had been a thread called, "Guess Waynes worst dining experiences", think i would have won;)

You really need to try them for yourself, if I had listened to reviews I would never have done Sanaa, San Angel, Raglan rd & more, all excellent meals.

We never listen to reviews as we like to try things for ourselves however these are our thoughts

Si-Fi diner- not done yet

Boardwalk Pizza window - looked ok when we walked past

Chefs De France - one of our least favourite meals ever! Will not return - slow service over an hour just for main course took dessert to go and food really wasn't that good

Crystal Palace Breakfast- really enjoy this buffet as nice selection (our fave is Tusker House breakfast)

Califonia Grill- Had 2 good and 1 poor meal here but will return.

Beigarten- Not for us as cant imagine being seated with other people we don't know with DD

Hoop De Doo Musical review- really like the food but once was enough for the show however we do get take out from Trails end next door for the chicken!

ESPN- never been but was queued out the door when we walked past couple of times.

Wishes Dessert Party OOP- over priced for a not very good view. I love dessert but even I thought it was poor value.

Ohanas- not really like WCC food. We got a last minute ressie in May and I really don't get the huge fuss. Would go to WCC everyday instead. Or Kona if you want to eat at the Poly.

Grand Floridian Cafe- yummy had 2 good meals here. Once my steak was over cooked but we didn't want to wait for a new one so they compd our meals. :thumbsup2

Final night Yachtmans Steakhouse or Brown Derby- Yachtsmans is heads and shoulders better than Brown Derby. Had read so many good reports on HBD and was disappointed portions small and service not great. Yachtsman has always been good if a little pricey for what it is OOP.

Oh dear - sorry you seemed to have picked all restaurants we are not keen on however our list of return to restaurants is getting shorter each trip :headache:

We are just back :sad1: but we ate at

Sci Fi its always good for us. Pasta was good and DH steak was lovely, Desert of Red Velvet Cheese cake was yummy as were the adult shakes. We have eaten there at least once in our four trips and never had a bad meal.

Ohana's I was very disappointed the food was not nearly as good as we were expecting, all the meat tasted the same and had a BBQ lighter taste to it. Service was bad and the crazy woman doing the games etc was just horrible she was all over some of the men trying to be all funny but it was just creepy and SHE CAN NOT SING. The only thing that saved the meal was the cocktails and the bread pudding which is great. View of fireworks from the beach was stunning.

California Grill was AMAZING from the Bison with Truffle mac and cheese to the Beef Tenderloin and the Deserts it was FANTASTIC. Have always had a good meal there and good service. View of fireworks is good too. Go to the observation deck that is closest to the Bay lake Tower side its much less crowded.

Crystal Palace is good but it can be very slow to see all the characters. We did have to wait a bit for Pooh. But the food was good, the puffed french toast is good.

.

I second the bison comment, I had this and it was superb, the truffle mac and cheese was outstanding

you guessed a lot of my worst dining experiences as well...

but as Wayne said, you have to try things for yourselves to know what you like..

different people like different things....one man's hamburger is another man's steak..

in any case, here are my comments:

Chefs De France - just ok....i doubt we'll ever eat there again...

Crystal Palace Breakfast - we had a terrible lunch there this year, but our last breakfast there wasn't bad...

Califonia Grill - without doubt, the worst meal we've ever had at WDW - and the service was ridiculously pretentious.....i wouldn't eat there for free....

Beigarten - have never eaten there...

Hoop De Doo - this is where i differ from Wayne - we only did HDD once, but really hated it....but you should try it as most people love it...

Wishes Dessert Party OOP - haven't done it yet, but i definitely want to.....i wasn't able to get us a reservation in august...

Ohanas - i'm not big on set meals....

Grand Floridian Cafe - i've eaten here several times - always had a good meal...i love the salmon and the desserts are wonderful...oh..and the rolls are yummy too...my sister says the burgers are scrumptious....

Yachtmans Steakhouse - never ate here (for 2 credit meals i like citricos best)...
