Can any 1 recommend some great places to eat within walking distance of Hojo???
Thankyou 

Mimi's Cafe has a good selection and usually offer a really nice luch special menu. I don't really recommend Millies, rather just walk down to IHOP, although Millie's is usually less crowded. McDonalds is right there for a quick stop. THere is also a Denny's, Tony Romas, and Captain Kids all fairly close.

Quality wise, Mimi's is best and the closest.

Have a great trip!

We liked Mimi's but also enjoyed Millies very much. Denny's was OK food wise but service wasn't great. We didn't try Captain Kidd's and IHOP due to poor reviews on this board.

All the closest ones are mentioned but Garden Walk is walkable too - some good ones here which we wanted to try but ran out of time (in 2 weeks) - but did go to Bubba Gump which was excellent. These restaurants are of course in addition to all the DTD and DLR restaurants - so many places... so little time.

Naples is worth a mention if you like Italian - if you register on the ptaina website you can get a money off coupon for $30 - made our meal VERY affordable.

I totally recommend the following:

Mimi's - love this place. Sign up online for coupons!
At the GardenWalk:
Bubba Gumps - our favorite sea food
Cheesecake Factory - yummy
PFChang's - best brocolli beef I have ever had. Get a Warrior card by signing up online and save 10%
Calif Pizza Chicken - love their food!

We drove to Garden Walk as we had our car, but we have walked it in the past. We did take from GW restaurants and it was perfect.

OK
Millie's - we always wait FOREVER here, very frustrating
Denny's - it's well, Denny's
McD's - fast food
Tony Romas - spent a fortune at this place. Kid's meals were yuck and not worth the money.

another vote for mimi's. good food, nice atmosphere and pleasant servers. we have never had a bad experience there.

I would say MIMI's is the best place to eat off site on S. Harbor blvd. I found last year when visiting the mouse that with Millies that the quality of food and service varied from day to day. They do have huge portions that are easily splitable. Mcd's is what you would expect from a fast food place. I've heard that IHOP is overpriced for what you get, but haven't eaten there yet, so can't give further comment. Denny's is your typical fare for that restaurant. The TONY ROMA's is overpriced and not the greatest quality, and personally found that the ribs were alot better of quality and portion at MIMI's, and was cheaper. I've heard alot of bad things about Captin Kidds, and wouldn't eat there if I were you. That's why they are always standing at the corner flogging discounted tickets to get you in the door so that they can give you food poisioning. There are many good restaurants in Downtown Disney, such as House of Blues, Rainforest cafe, etc. So there are alot of dining options outside of the parks, you just have to decide what you are in the mood for.

Please please please do NOT eat at Captain Kidd's....PLEASE!!!!! It is disgusting, we ate there, DBF had the buffet and everything was old and dried out, he did find a few things but it was not worth it, I had a salad, most of my lettuce was wilted and see thru......ewwwwwwwwwww the cucumbers were either dried out or slimy, the red onions were dried out, I was able to 1 of the 6 cucumber slices, 1 small ring of red onion, the cheddar cheese and croutons that were on top and the grape tomatoes they gave me, I think I had 2 bites of the actual lettuce and it was just nasty tasting so I didn't eat any more. I did ask the server for more cheese and crackers and ate those and the girls liked their kids' meals but they both had chicken strips and fries, not much to mess up there...LOL

Mimi's is delicious, highly highly recommended! Millie's was good when we ate there, we enjoyed it quite a bit.

IHOP is way overpriced, we paid about $50 for a family of 4 and we all drank water, it's insane in there. Denny's is good, standard fare and standard prices, they will get you in and out as fast as they can too. :) We haven't eaten at Tony Roma's. There's a Bucca Di Beppo on Harbor, not sure if it's walking distance tho, it's really good Italian served family style.

The Garden Walk has loads of yummy places to eat, we highly recommend it there. :)

There is also a Joe' Crab Shack, Red Robin & Outback down by the Target, also on Harbor but not walkable.

there are also plenty of places to eat in DTD, RFC, the Jazz Kitchen, both very very good. :)

Thanks everyone for the great advice.
I now know which places are worth trying & which 1s I should just walk past 

Does anyone know if there's a Wendys nearby??
My hubby discovered their burgers in Orlando &  them. If I can get him to a Wendys he ll be thrilled

Mimi's is our favorite near by. We love their breakfasts and their portions can easily be shared. We always get great service as well!

Would you be able to share the link? I couldn't find the website that you were talking about. Thanks!

I love Wendy's but I've never seen one close to DLR ~

As for close to HoJo ~ well anything at the DLR. We enjoyed our meal at Mimi's.

I just checked the Wendy's website ~ using the HoJo's zip code these are the results ~*~*~*~

Whoops typo - should be Patina - registered DH's birthday using the link on their site - they sent a coupon via e-mail which had to be used within 2 months - luckily this was good for our trip

As previously mentioned worth signing up with Mimi's, Millie's, Bubba Gump's own sites plus Orange county website has a few - McDonald's, California Pizza Kitchen - that's what I loved about eating offsite - discount coupons everywhere (and reasonably priced food everywhere as compared with Disney). Although we also had an AP so got 10% off Disney food as well

For what we had at each place, we enjoyed Millie's more than Mimi's, but they were BOTH good, and worth eating at again.

Mimi's had good veggie burgers, they were extremely kind to DS and helpful in general, and it was very pleasant there.

Millie's had dee-lish mac and cheese (all garlicky) with side salad and garlic bread, for an astonishingly low price, and it was ready to go (we were walking back to HoJo) quickly. We got back to our room and it was still hot, and it filled a ravenous child (who wanted French Market mac/cheese one minute after they closed) and two "eh, I could eat something" adults. Very satisfying, and a reasonable price (we only got ONE serving, by the way!).

Love Millies, well at least for breakfast, their dinner menu never appealed to us. Their portions are huge, the servers are friendly, never busy in there and I like to play the peg jump game while waiting.:thumbsup2

We bought the peg game to bring home - still haven't 'cracked' it. I had the fajitas in Millies which were very good and got loads - didnt magage to finish it (not like me where fatijas are concerned)
