Dining Recommendations for Honeymoon

Hello! My fiancé and I were engaged November 2 at Disney. As AP holders we decided there was no better place to honeymoon this June than WDW. While we have both visited frequently, we haven’t actually been on a trip alone for more than 2 nights and haven’t done a lot of dining at TS restaurants. With our day to book dining coming up in a few weeks, I’m looking for recommendations for some romantic or interesting places. I plan to purchase the DP for the purpose of convenience, so cost is not necessarily an issue, but I wouldn’t want to do more than one or two signature meals.

Also, it should be noted that we have eaten at California Grill and we got engaged at The Boathouse because it has special meaning for us, so we will definitely be eating there.

The obious answer is V&A. but it is very expensive and not on the DDP.
Jiko, Monsieur Paul, Bluezoo, Citricos (hit and miss) come to mind.
Its not open yet, but Topolinos Terrace looks interesting.

I like good food and good drink, so if I want to have adult time...

Skipper Canteen, Le Cellier, Chefs de France, San Angel Inn, Hacienda de San Angel, Spice Road Table, Mama Melrose, Sanaa, Trattoria al Forno, Flying Fish, the Wave, Narcoossee's, Kona Cafe, Jaleo......

Our favorites are Flying Fish and Jiko. I think both are on the romantic side.

Well... CG is my wife and I's go-to romantic dinner, but I actually like the Yachtsman better except watching the fireworks from the top of the Contemporary is pretty cool. Another suggestion is to take dinner a little earlier, maybe in a park, and then hit the Edison for cocktails and an app or a dessert.

Jiko is great for special occasions, best food flavor profile wise and the restaurant, like AKL is unique in it's own right.
The last time we went to Cali Grill we were very underwhelmed by the flavor profile of the food and we find it a bit sterile as far as ambiance. We agree, the Fireworks and view of MK are the biggest plus.

We honeymooned at WDW 29 years ago...and this may sound silly but one of our most memorable meals was the Hoop Dee Doo Revue! We had a great time, and now have gone back many times with our kids. Sometimes 'romantic' is having fun together!

For your first trip as a married couple, I would do a little bit of everything....

Maybe a character meal for breakfast, it's so much fun starting the day with the characters - We like Chef Mickeys for breakfast, the fab 5 plus the monorail zipping through is really cool...

Appetizer and drinks around the world showcase is a fun dinner option, or at Disney Springs... you can sit at the Bar at different spots and enjoy the different offerings... makes a fun night, plus there is alot of entertainment going on... go to the movies, or Bowling, balloon ride or ride on the water cars at Boathouse...

Flying Fish is a great spot and food is good to....

Cali Grill the fireworks are worth it, not a big fan of the menu just okay in my opinion I liked it better before the remodel...

Jiko is marvelous and can be very romantic, and it's quite unique.

The back half of my honeymoon was Disney Parks. We ate at Le Cellier (yes I know, it's either loved or hated). We also ate at Restaurant Marrakesh, which was a different experience.

It was food and wine, so there was a lot of snacking our way through Epcot.

Congratulations! California Grill brunch is the best meal I've had at Disney and I would definitely do that. Also the most adult-feeling meal. Boathouse would be your other signature. Narcoossee's has a great atmosphere and decent food. I've had good meals at a number of other restaurants but I've also had experiences at those same restaurants that were more hectic/chaotic. That said, we will return to Via Napoli (but ONLY sit outside because it is too loud inside--very nice outside at night), Teppan Edo (good food but a standard hibachi place), Chefs de France (I'd do an early lunch here--less crowded and quieter), and Hacienda de San Angel. Be Our Guest has a great atmosphere but can be loud/chaotic and I haven't been since the switch to signature and have no intention of going any time soon. Others that I've been to that were fine but nothing special include Mama Melrose, The Wave, Boma, and 'Ohana. I really wouldn't recommend any buffet (other than California Grill brunch, which is a mix).

I would book Highway in the Sky Dinearound.
It is my favorite dining experience at Disney.
