Dining Questions - Please Help

Ok, we're booked & ready to go 9/23-9/30 at CBR w/free dining! Can't wait to go but I'm so intimidated with planning ADRs, character meals, etc. Would like to do 3 character meals (1 breakfast/1 lunch/1 dinner), and 2 nice dinners for as well for me, DH & DD (4). Any suggestions on what to do. Which Cinderella meal is better, breakfast, lunch or dinner? How is Chef Mickeys, Donald's Breakfastosaurus, Mickey's Backyard BBQ? Heard Coral Reef is great for dinner, Capt'n Jacks, Beach Club Buffet. Any and all suggestions and help would be really appreciated. I'm a first timer ! Thanks.

I really love the planning part of our trip. Just wanted to let you know that you can visit the allearsnet.com website for restaurant menus and dining reviews. They were really helpful as we planned our trip. We are big fans of Le Cellier in WS Canada, Whispering Canyon Cafe (Wilderness Lodge) and Ohana's (Polynesian). You will find mixed reviews of Chef Mickey's, but we always enjoy it. Our DD2 and DS8 loved Mickey's Backyard BBQ last summer. It is very laid back with alot of character interaction. We aren't doing Cinderella because of the 2 TS credits required. Instead, we are going to the Princess Character Breakfast in Norway this year. We are doing that one, Chef Mickey's, Donald's, and Liberty Tree Tavern for character meals this year. If you haven't done so before, check out allearsnet.com and read some of the reviews. To see Cinderella, I'd skip the castle and do dinner at 1900 Park Faire. We got to meet Cinderella, Prince Charming, the mice, and the Fairy Godmother and all the character lingered a long time at our tables... and it was good food!

For the Character Breakfast, Chef Mickey's is a good one because the kids love the main characters all being there. Food was so-so, but it was the kids favorite because they got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Goofy. WE did Breakfastsaurus last trip and it was okay, but really rushed. I'd do Chef Mickeys again before that one.

For a lunch, it might be nice to take a break at the Magic Kingdom and do the Crystal Palace. Meeting Tigger, Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore was fun. We did dinner there.

As for nice dinners for your DH and yourself, I can't rave about my 2 favorite restaurants enough.... Boma at AKL and the Coral Reef. Wonderful food and atmosphere!

Whenever I plan our dining I decide 1)what characters do we want to see? and 2)which park will we be in which day? With that said, DD#2 LOVES the Princesses so the Princess Storybook Breakfast is a must. We also love the breakfast at Crystal Palace. The dinner at 1900 Park Fare is a great way to meet Cinderella (and not nearly as challenging as getting CRT ) The Garden Grill in Epcot is another character meal we like. The dinner at Chef Mickey's is a great way to kick off your stay. Most of the sit down restaurants in World Showcase are a good alternative to character dining. We tried the Cape May Clambake last year and really enjoyed it. I don't guess I was much help, really.
