I'm pricing out the cost of the different DPs as opposed to OOP and I had a question about how it would work. So a TS meal on the DxDP (3 meals, 2 snacks) includes 1 each appetizer, entree, dessert and beverage. I'm looking at B&C's menu and they have no appetizers listed so I was wondering how that would work? Do I just order the entree, dessert and beverage? Is there a substitution I can take in place of the appetizer? Thanks.

Oh, and on a separate note, when a menu has an item that serves 2 or more is that counted as one TS credit or would they take out the number of credits based on the number of people it serves?

Yes. :)

It's a restaurant-by-restaurant or even sometime server-by-server thing. Some places, servers, and/or times you can get a "for 2" appetizer or dessert with one entitlement, sometimes you can get it by combining entitlements, and sometimes (but rarely) they won't allow it at all. Doesn't seem to be many hard and fast rules.

But, never hurts to ask.

So for example: if the three of us ordered The Kitchen Sink at B&C (which serves up to 4) in theory it would cost us a total of 3 desserts? Or if DH and I ordered the Beef Nachos for 2 at Rainforest Cafe it would cost us 2 appetizers and DS could still order one of his own?

Items that say "for 2" on the menu will require 2 diner's credits so if there are 3 of you an item that says "for 2" would require 2 diners' credits, but the third person could order something separate. It is very unlikely you will be able to order a "for 2" item with only one credit. I only know of one restaurant that used to allow it and you were served only a half portion (so "for 1"), but that item has not been on their menu for years.

As far as the Kitchen Sink typically it is not included in the dining plan and only a few have reported success when using 4 or more adult credits so I would not count on getting it with just 3 credits. Likewise, the Volcano dessert at RFC may or may not be allowed depending on the server and the number of credits you will be using.

I don't mind having to use two credits for a "for two" serving. I was just curious. Also it isn't likely that we'd order the kitchen sink because as much as I love mint chocolate chip and coffee ice cream, I don't know how it would taste all melted together with the other 5 flavors.

Kitchen Sink usually isn't included in the DDP at all, no matter how many persons are in the party.

You probably know this but Just making sure that you know that a whole meal credit is used at once, and dessert credits are not broken out separetly, but as part of a whole meal credit that is used at the same time.

Yeah, I should have worded it differently. Three people wouldn't be able to each order a 2 person portion, we could order one 2 person portion and one 1 person portion to equal 3 portions.
