My apologies if this has already been answered...

I know that DVC members can't take advantage of the Free Dining offer. However, can you sign up for the dining option all by itself? The website implies that it's only available with a Magic Your Way Base ticket.

Since we buy a 10-Day ticket and use it across 2 or 3 different trips, does this mean that we can only get the dining plan on the first trip that we use the 10-day ticket?

Thanks --

DVC members may purchase any of the Dining plans for the length of their stay irregardless of tickets. The dining plan must be purchased 48 hours prior to arrival--you can't wait and do it once you are there.

Let me try and help.

DVC members can only purchase the DDP, the Deluxe DDP, and the QSDP.

You don't have to buy tickets.

The plan must be added to your reservation at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date.

Everyone on the reservation must be on the plan, it's all or none.

You pay for the plan when you check in.

You'll get credits per each night of your stay. So if you have a ten day stay for nine nights, you'll get nine credits per person. One Table service, one counter service and one snack for the regular dining plan.

The Disney Wine & Dine Plan includes one bottle of wine per room per night of your reserved stay. Certain select wines may require the use of two entitlements.

I have a question... what are peoples opinions on this dinning plan?? Is it worth the cost?

We are going in Feb/March 2010 and looking at the current cost of $39.99 per person per day it would be worth it if we used our table service at a more expensive resturant and we would get our $$ worth.

Also can someone tell me the average cost increase this dinning plan goes up every year? I know the prices will probably increase by 2010.

Thanks :)

I used it on my trip with my then 12 year old niece 3 years ago. It was worth it because we did a character dinner everyday and they are over $30 alone and back then tip was included. I haven't used it recently on trips with my friends because we don't usually eat a table service everyday. A friend bought the Tables in Wonderland last year and that saved us some.

Don't forget, you are responsible for the tip (it's not covered by the dining plan fees). It is based on the actual cost of the meal. Not what you paid.
