I have booked a vacation night by night from 12/31 through 1/6/07. The plan was for a 2 bedroom at BWV the entire trip, but what we have now is 12/31 at SSR and 1/1-1/4 at BWV, with separate reservations for the nights of 1/4 and 1/5 also at BWV. I have 4 different reservation numbers for each of these reservations.

When I booked the last night on 1/5/07, I asked if I could get the dining plan for the three night block of 1/1 - 1/4 ONLY since i had a different reservation number for that block (and at that time i was on the waiting list for the night of 1/4 at the BWV, but i now have that reservation confirmed at the BWV). I was advised that i could choose to not link the reservations at BWV if I desired, book the dining plan for the three nights, but run the risk that BWV would force me to move rooms on 1/4/07 and 1/5/07 because i had a different reservations. This was my plan since two adults in our party will probably be leaving on 1/4.

However, yesterday when i called to confirm my wait list for 12/31 was still active, the ms told me that i had a reservation for 1/1 - 1/6 at bwv. I told her it was actually three individual reservations and i wanted to keep it that way for purposes of the dining plan. She advised that was not my option. She stated that BWV would automatically link the rooms and if i made dining plan reservations they would automatically be extended the entire stay for the entire group. She advised the only way to add the dining plan for a portion of the trip was to make reservations for 12/31, but if we got a room at BWV, then the entire trip would be linked and the reservation for the dining plan would be for the entire week.

Does anyone have experience with booking the dining plan with different reservation numbers and can anyone advise which advice is actually correct.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

No experience per se but the last answers you got were c/w my information. If it's the same unit type they can link them and will if they realize it. They don't always realize it though so it's hit and miss. If you can book different rooms sizes or types, you can get the meal plan separately but WILL have to move. With the LOS passes and a couple of other programs previously, they considered any stat at the same resort as one for purposes of the program regardless of the unit type/size. Thus far their not quite that aggressive with the DDP but I suspect they will evolve to be later.
