I have been reading up on the dining plan questions and have to point out something - if you have a child under 3 yrs old, you don't pay for them to be part of the dining plan but they get a meal pass as if you did pay. SO, they get a child's meal, a counter service and a snack every day for free!!

I saw someone ask about sharing with their 19 mos old and just wanted to point this out. This was confirmed by 3 people (our travel agent and 2 Disney people).

That would be wonderful, but I just called Disney Dining and spoke with Kelly. She said that 2 year olds are not charged and at buffets can eat free, but all other places, they either share or you purchase a meal for them. Did anybody else hear about them getting credits for free?

Children under age 3 do not receive meal plan credits. The meal plan credits are only available for children age 3-9 and adults age 10 and up.

Disney's policy is to allow under 3 to eat free at buffets. They can share off the family plates at other meals, or you can purchase a child's meal separately.
