Dining Plan - Split DVC Stay

I will be having a split stay at WDW in October. The split stay consist of 1 , 3, then 4 days; all consecutive.

I have a TIW card, however, I am thinking about doing the dining plan for the first day only.

This would get us refillable mug, we would use the table service that night, then the QS before midnight the next day.

I have read the refillable mug would be good for our entire stay.

What do you think?

We do this frequently as we are big fans of split stays anyway. Sometimes we even get the Deluxe plan to have three TS and two snack to use over two days if we have only one night somewhere. The mugs are indeed good for two weeks so that's a huge bonus. I would, however, look at exactly where you plan to eat and compare it with the TIW discount, and crunch the numbers to see whether this is the best route for you !

Hi we r doing a dvc split stay next year . 5 nights BWV then 6 nights SSR. We r planing on doing the ddp for the bwv stay.
Does this mean we can use this at our SSR stay? I thought they now had a chip in knew when u checked out?
It would good if we could use them.

We just did a split stay June 26th through July 4th. We had three reservations. First reservation was June 26th at SSR (One night with Dining Plan), Second reservation was June 27th ~ June 30th again at SSR, and the third reservation was July 1st ~ July 4th at BWV. We received our mug shortly after checking in on June 26th and it worked till we left on July 5that both resorts. When we would fill the mug the display would say active till July 10th. I hope this helps.
