Dining Plan Speculation

I don't know if this means anything; HOWEVER! I'm sitting her procrastinating at work and pricing future vacations. I selected my resort, tickets and clicked next. Instead of routing me directly to the check out page, it loaded the "select your dining plan" page for like 5 seconds and then as fast as it appeared it routed me to the check out page. I've recreated this with several dates and resorts and it happens every single time. Sometimes it doesn't load the pic but if you pay attention to the URL, you'll see that the website is now routing you to the dining plan page before check out.

Could this mean something?? I sure hope so!

I wonder how long it would take Disney to hire on enough staff to open all the restaurants again once they get the go ahead to increase capacity? No matter if it is weeks, months or years until they open more restaurants , I hope the hiring of staff doesn't bog it down too much.

I can click on the Add Dining Plan button but I it gives me the Donald Duck “Sorry we had to duck out” screen. That’s new for this evening so I wonder if they are going to be offering dining plans soon. Our res isn’t until 2022.

It’s likely nothing, just the script bypassing the dining page as it should but getting a little hung up.

You’re probably right. It’s just so random because it wasn’t doing that before. I’ve been “planning” and pricing trips like this since they added back the option after the park reopened. It used to skip that page completely, it’s like they have it live but only on certain testing servers or something like that.

I noticed that too last week when pricing out a trip. Another thing is the new snack cart in Morocco has the Snack Credit decals on it. Got me wondering :) I really didn't think DDP was coming back until 2022 but who knows?

Dining plans won't come back until most of the restaurants are open. Most of the restaurants won't open until they can lift capacity (so they have enough people to fill said restaurants). IMO it will be awhile until either of those things happen....so I don't see DPs coming back any time soon.
