Dining plan snacks out of parks?

I'm still deciding about the dining plan. We usually go to the parks til lunch, have lunch then head to the pool or something because of the crowds. On the dining plan, would we need to get our 'snack' before we leave the park?

I'd rather wait a couple hours. We'll be at Wilderness Lodge. Can you get anything there as your snack (Mickey Bar, etc?) If we did head back to MK in the afternoon for treat, how far in would we have to go? Could we get a cookie from the Main Street Bakery or is it only the ice cream carts?

Also, could I take the whole family's cards and go alone and get everyone's food?

You can eat your meals and snacks in whatever order you want, and any day and time you want. You could eat all of your credited snacks in one day if you choose!

Not sure about you taking the cards and getting everyone's - but I would think that would work. It just deducts from their total credited meals/snacks and will print out remaining meals/snacks on your receipt.
