I have a question about the dining plan. If I am going to WDW with some extended family and we will be staying in 2 separate rooms, is it possible to get the dining plan for the people in my room only and then let the people in the other room use it for a few meals? It is a voucher system or does the dining plan go on your individual tickets? Thanks

It's computerized; the credits are on your room key. I don't know if what you are suggesting is possible, sorry. :confused3

Depends on the CM. Some have reported here that they were allowed use dining credits for visiting family members not on the plan. Others had problems when the amount of credits being used exceeded the amount of people listed as dining plan members on the KTTW card. Some CMs even allowed people to "give" complete strangers their unused credits on their last day (rather than "waste" them).

When we were there in June, we treated my uncle and his insignificant other to dinner and used our credits for everyone's dinner with no problem

Insignificant other, I'm surprised you paid for that persons meal! :rotfl:

We are going to attempt to do just that in February. We are two Majorette Mom's who are going to DW to see our children with their High School band march down Main Street. We plan on taking each of our daughters and one of their friends to dinner at LeCellier to celebrate a 16th birthday and we will attempt to pay for 6 meals using our TS credits even though only 2 of us are on the plan. We will see what happens.
