Dining plan question

Our WDW reservation starts June 30 for 7 days and a continuing reservation through July 13 (using the 4 /3 plan). IF we decided to buy the QS dining plan, could I get it for the first part of the reservation (7 days), but use any "left-over" credits on the second half of the reservation?

What do you mean by continuing a reservation? I believe that if it's one ressie then all dining will be counted in this reservation.

If you have two separate reservations and get DDP for the length of the first reservation, your dining credits attached to that reservation will expire at midnight on the day you check out of your first resort. So you could use credits from the first stay only during the first day of the second stay.
